There are so many variables it is not worth going down a rabbit hole you don’t know exists when discussing Minor League Baseball. Just know the G league doesn’t draw. Minor league baseball does exponentially more. Fort Wayne has both. Almost 6k attendance for baseball over 140 games. Basketball? Under 2k in 50 games. Baseball pays that level on average $290 a week. It’s going up to around $500 and that’s why they might get down to the 3 or 4 levels. Arenas cost more to maintain than a baseball diamond. So there are variable levels to minors and pay. Just know there are around 250 minor leaguers getting paid in the course of a season. No matter what your salary for the minors is under $2 million. G league at $50k per for 30 players assuming that was an average? $1.5 million. So something that has 90 less games and draws exponentially less will be able to do that? I know you never look at the business side of things. But there is a reason owners are rich and it’s not because they make stupid decisions to make everyone else’s experience better in a years. Your wage idea along with massively growing the g league is not a viable business option. I hear you. Normally I stay out of this talk, cause there is no winning for a moderate. But man that drug talk has been so over the top everywhere with half truths. Every talking point acts like that drug is the second coming. I wish people know that even in situations where “it worked”, it did so along with a multitude of other drugs. It wasn’t that one drug worked. Some combination of drugs and dosing is helping people but not even close to half of the cases tested. But then, is it the drugs or person? There has not been one standout drug. I know a few health organizations are working closely with J&J and there is legit optimism they could have the vaccine by early summer. Absolutely. I think that is extreme as well. But that has been the most extreme study and they said as much when reporting on it today. I think what’s weird is we will most likely not see a crowd in a sporting event until fall of 2021 at the earliest which sucks. I have multiple concerts and shows this year I have tickets for. Hate to say I am hoping with this people decide their IU season tix aren’t worth it anymore and I squeeze in there. I will also hate it if this happens this way with the Final Four being in Indy in 2021. Never got to go. They will be back around again but that’s a bucket list thing. Agreed. It sounds like the results are starting to come back from across the world are similar. But I agree. I fully trust China as much as I do anyone on a podium promoting something not tested in a lab. I don’t mean that as a swipe, but Trump scares the hell out of a lot of people when he did that. The last how many ever pages shows what happens when he says something. People just run with it. There are reasons things like that are tested. Agreed. I know there was some thought Kentucky underplayed their preseason ranking. If you put me in the top five every year to start the season, chances are most years you will be in a position to make a run.
