I can see that. Even at that we are talking essentially $20 million including Archie’s buyout. I know that’s a big number, but if you as a university are serious about basketball that really shouldn’t make you flinch. I think only Calipari’s is absurd. Other than that if Kansas, Duke, UNC, and Kentucky wanted Oates that number wouldn’t scare them. They could get that in donations easily. If that’s a guy as a university you say you want money shouldn’t matter unless it’s an absurd amount. I honestly expected his would be higher. He isn’t ending there.

His buyout will also increase to over $10 million over the next two years. That was from the SI article, but it’s an odd way to say it. Does that mean it’s lower until then? Bold move on their part if that’s the case.

Could be worse. Pretty sure Cals is over $50 million still. I am also pretty sure Archies buyout is hovering around top 20 highest, but that changes every year. Par for the course with college coaches. At a program like Indiana it’s just the norm. Unless we hire Dane Fife. If we give up over a $10 million buyout on someone like that I have serious questions/issues. My thing is that buyout shouldn’t be there unless you can afford it day 1. That should never stop an Indiana from making a final decision. When money drives/determines final decisions on getting the right leaders, it will never be a good business decision or end well. If he is your man, he is your man. If he is not, $10 million shouldn’t be the final swaying point. Now if he is up for a contract extension and you aren’t sure, you can’t move forward with that coach. Our leadership has to make decisive decisions over the next year or so. It better not come down to a few million dollars deciding.

To add to the game good team win. Clean up the careless turnovers. Loved the ball movement and feeling like we started the game with a plan/purpose. Biggest problem with this team is stringing wins/effort. Carry it forward. This is all everyone wants. Good job last night boys!

I will say I thought I had a pretty solid porn collection. Reb showed us what we were missing. I am sure the mods have a thread buried somewhere with probably about 10k nudes from that one man. We would come back the next day and Dude would have a hundred new nudes on the mod board or a massive PM thread. It was truly impressive. He loved his Asian women and long night discussions with Olivia.

I am all for frustration of the current events. If you are an IU fan how can you not be? I have been through this before, in far worse circumstances. I get it. I can’t get behind bashing of the kids that put more into this institution than any on here could ever dream of. It’s a different era and I get it. Most like me I am sure will be back in the spring or even prior to next year. I hope we win out and make a run, but unless I am on copious amounts of narcotics I am not stupid. We all see where this is likely headed. If it matters I expect to see Archie Miller back next year. I am not saying that makes me happy or any of the last four years have been remotely acceptable. If that happens I am sure it will probably be as quiet next year no matter who is on the court for us. I hope you are all safe, and enjoy the season (if you can) in any way possible. Damn near every coach is hired to get fired. I hope you all feel better about yourselves. I hope you all get a bozo button or get whatever it is that makes you all happy. Just know Greg Marshall was fired before Archie Miller. Also, I did not quit posting here because I thought Archie Miller would do good here and he didn’t. If you truly feel that way, how’s come I haven’t stopped posting over the last 15 years at various sites? I quit posting here because I wanted to enjoy what I could of the season. I know you and others won’t understand that, but some of us actually root for success in spite of seeing what is happening. You give yourself too much credit. I have been on these boards for four coaching changes. Negativity doesn’t scare me away. Repetitive bitching to ***** is enough for a lot of us. Completely agree my man. I don’t care who the next coach is unless they are a rapist or one that allows that environment to flourish, or just don’t give a **** about the university or what it once stood for. I want to win. I will continue to support every coach we have until that change is made. I completely feel you there. I hope we win out, as does most everyone here. But we can all see where this could head if we have another blah season. It is what it is. I wouldn’t keep my job for mediocre results and I make a fraction of what he does. If my boss couldn’t get his employees to show up to work and perform he would be fired. At the end of the day results matter, and these aren’t results that are remotely close to good enough if the season goes this way. We will see how they respond, but we are at Illinois next. It’s the bed he has made.

I think all of our guards played awful at both ends last night. They didn’t move the ball to create opportunities for TJD even after he screamed at them to get him the ******* ball. They all drove into traffic. Defensively they weren’t getting out on shooters. Ray ******* Charles could see they needed to do that after they beat MSU. We just got out physicalled by Northwestern at home. In year 4 that just can’t happen. Archie has an uphill battle to right this. I know where everyone sits today, and I don’t blame them. I can only hope we win. But we don’t even have the right mentality to get us in the ballpark. That’s a collective failure and starts at the top.

I completely get where you are coming from. I have my own pet peeves that probably wouldn’t be popular. Then some popular things discussed that irritate me as well. Every person has their own things. I get it.

That is fair, and I am not trying to minimize it bothering you. It’s just the amount of basketball I watch it, and it is a normal occurrence everywhere, even for the best of teams. It doesn’t make it good. It just doesn’t bother me as much as other things.

Mmkay. Let know how well your teams listen to your every word. In a motion style offense it won’t happen as often. In any pick and roll or iso offense you will see it. Sorry it bothers you that much.
