Damn. What the hell did he do? Parents buy a sticker and a hat? Pretty stiff even for the NCAA.

Oh for sure. I was just saying when any 60th ranked player gets this kind of a reaction you know it was a bad recruiting year. -
(2021) SF - Aminu Mohammed to Georgetown

I will be the first to put it out there like this. I would currently be surprised if he doesn’t come here based on who his teams are, and what’s available. This dude is a difference maker for 1.5 years. Essentially Lander at the 2/3 from a skill level expectancy. That said even if we get a commit from him which would be absolutely huge, I still feel this recruiting cycle is potentially a letdown if we aren’t able to get one or two more players in the spring cycle. This year more than any it’s possible. But it really starts with Aminu. Unfortunately we are at a point where we really need to stock skill and he is most definitely our best option. Really feel our depth quality hurt us more than we will ever know in this cycle. -

I definitely get that angle. I wish we could say a particular situation is us being cautious. With so much uncertainty, I hope they operate at a minimalistic way. More than anything I think this year is going to take a lot of trust. Trust in all programs on your calendar making conscious efforts to minimize risk and following guidelines. I do feel as though once we can get to that second weekend in the bubble I will feel better. It’s going to be one of those seasons where you are on edge 24/7 waiting for your team to be that team. The one thing the conferences can do imo, is get on the same page with restrictions, testing, and actions based on results. That could help a lot of this out. -

About that time... One day and I will be absolutely blitzed while my buddies drink. Can’t wait to pull the Volcano out. Happy college basketball season all! -

For sure. He has to do better next class even if he lands Aminu. We just aren’t built that way to have one player be expected to carry a class beyond one year. I think it’s safe to say this will be our class where transfers will have to be a part of. Imo, this class is a loss. -
https://www.yahoo.com/sports/nfl-draft-winners-and-losers-indianas-michael-penix-jr-outplayed-os-us-justin-fields-184208272.html Fairly generic and wasn’t sure where to put this. Seems Penix is getting notoriety in the draft world. Not shocking with his arm, but the fact he outplayed Justin Fields has this article wondering whether he will be a first round pick next year or a 2nd day pick. What a rise this year.

Don’t disagree, but I go back to when we were number 1. We were just as bad if not worse, and people justified the way they acted throughout the season by how we played down the stretch. I think many posters go overboard by trying to determine the absolute worst so they won’t be disappointed. Only to be disappointed because no matter what they say, their true expectations were really far different than what they say. I think OSU football and IU basketball are actually pretty close comparisons. That is probably a truer representation of the mentality of IU basketball fans than we would want to feel. Imo -

I think it already did when people are this upset over a hovering 60th ranked player choosing Creighton over us. -

Odd. I know teams are still doing them. Unless everyone got together and gave a collective middle finger. Wouldn’t be the worst thing. -

Hey OF, didn’t the dead period end on the 12th? Pretty sure these are all automatically unofficial visits, and would be subject to the calendar. I have been mixed up a lot with the dates changing but I thought we were in a recruiting phase where they could do video. -
Can’t believe how much he made out with after all that.

Stick around long enough to make them nervous and rush. That’s my hope. From there let the chips fall as they may. The only way we win is not going to be a beautiful display of football. It’s going to be winning special teams. Then we have to win one side of the ball. We aren’t winning all 3 levels against this team. Let’s make it dirty, run the ball, win turnover battle, limit penalties, and limit missed tackles. We do that we have a chance to make this interesting.

Yep Jed Hoyer is taking over. I wouldn’t be surprised if Theo takes over the Phillies or has something with the Mets. We are definitely blowing up the team this year.

Man he is ready to go.

Due to health and safety concerns, the Division I Men's Basketball Committee has decided to relocate the 13 sites previously chosen to host preliminary rounds of the 2021 NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Championship. Despite the challenges the pandemic continues to present to our country, March Madness will take place in 2021. The environment in which we live is drastically different, which means the tournament will clearly have a different feel to it, but we will safely conduct this event despite the obstacles we are facing. It was determined that the most effective way of doing so is to stage the event in one city, using multiple venues. The NCAA is in preliminary discussions with the state of Indiana and the city of Indianapolis to conduct the entire championship in the metropolitan area. No decision has been made regarding fan attendance at any NCAA tournament game. However, the NCAA committee and staff will remain in communication with nation and local experts from within the medical field to decide the best course of action. At this time, there are no changes to the field size of 68 or the dates March Madness is typically held. The original key dates include Selection Sunday® on March 14, the tournament start date on March 16 and the National Championship on April 5.
