Agree to disagree. I understand your stance, but I don’t see too many people taking that approach. Completely get the personal attachment, but I also think that personal attachment is what is currently setting us back. Someone at a high enough level needs to be ruthless in this situation.

I sure hope they give him a chance to. I have more trust in him than I have had in any AD at IU since Ralph Floyd.

There is just no way they can do that to him or the fans. This was awkward in December. It was bad in January. Are they really going to trot him out there for a month to get booed? Is that the lasting image recruits/transfers will see of IU? On second blush, that is par for IU.

I don’t think they would either, but that’s the best coach they can get imo.

Scott, this is a PR nightmare. There is no good way to say it or defend it. This will be used against us for a minute. It will impact our recruiting negatively as much as Woody has. It’s ok to admit it.

This is still IU that hired Mike Davis when IU was generally still considered a top 10 program to maintain continuity. They also self reported. Are we really that surprised at how much IU can screw this up? From a PR perspective I heard they are scared of firing him for the optics after Archie. Trying to make it as soft as possible to not negatively impact recruiting for the next coach, which uh…. We have been there for a minute for anyone with eyes. Heard the PR, firing, retiring BS from 2 people I trust.

Yes you did. That’s what made me log on. I have never seen it that early. It’s more than a small cluster. I don’t know how it came across tv but it lasted.

I am in AH. I have been to a lot of games since the mid 80s. I have never seen this crowd like this. It’s about to get uglier than the product on the court.

Wonder where El Presidente ended up eating last night. He was getting a lot of Little Zagrebs, Mother Bear, or Buffalouise. So as you could imagine every “fan” spot in Bloomington outside of Little Zagrebs.
