IUBB vs Penn State - Wednesday, 02.26.25 at 8:30 on BTN

Oh man. You were in the minority. I am not sure I have encountered a more hated player outside of Recker or Reid than VJ3. Maybe if we pick individual years I could add Rivers. But VJ3 and his patented jump to pass was a fun topic for a couple of years. -

Even more than VJ3? Wow. That’s some hate right there. -

I know it’s easy to blame the kids here, GC. But it wasn’t just the kids from where I sat tonight. -
From the donor side, the only thing really being talked about is the NIL. I know others are discussing coaches to some on the board, but that’s still very different than what I am hearing. Which is less than normal. Normally, you would think that’s a bad thing, but it gives me hope people that entrenched themselves in previous men’s bball coach searches just have not this time. That much I am certain of beyond NIL confidence.

IUBB vs Purdue - Sunday, 02.23.25 @ 1:30 on CBS

Fun game for sure once the 2nd half started. Wish we could have more consistency is a phrase 99% of D1 fans are saying today. Won’t ever be disappointed with a Purdue win. Onto the next. -
Man, what could have been. Imagine a world we didn’t clip our own nuts so bad in a way no other university would in that situation we keep Kelvin Sampson. Can you imagine the wins we missed out on the last 20 years? Especially over something so trivial in the world we are in. Give that guy a $7-$10 million NIL budget. Would pay to see that.
-
At least we have our moral superiority in an era when cheating is encouraged.
-
If he were a legit option, he would be my top pick. Would be shocked if he left Waco.
-
And herein lies the conundrum. Can we draw interest from quality coaches? This IS our 6th head coach hire since the turn of the century. I am not sure we should maintain the same approach that has led us here since RMK left every few years. Something has to give.
-
And it’s really disappointing as there is a bit of a double standard. If you turn a blind eye to the most heinous crimes that both Tom Izzo and Bill Self have, that is ok. I am not condoning him putting hands on his wife. He should get his @$$ kicked for that. But both Self and Izzo helped minimize and eliminate the same crime for their players as well as worse crimes. I get so annoyed with the holier than thou approach when turning a blind eye to the degree those have is ok. Either we have morals or we don’t, and shouldn’t get to pick and choose when we should. IMO

Same here my man. I legit just argued with someone on Twitter how they want Bill Self, but would never touch Beard. I will never understand those fans. Not saying Beard isn’t a flawed man, but at this point I am almost starting to think you have to be, to succeed here.
-
I am sure I am on an island. I don’t care if he is Shooter Flatch at this point. If he is the best coach. Our morals over the last 25 years has not led to wins. Now we can openly cheat. Just win baby.

How bad does anyone being reasonable feel for Dolson? The expectation, not hope is Brad Stevens. A mythical coach who has only grown stature since he left the college level. No matter who you pick it ends in disappointment. I know they read these boards, so whichever poor kid reads this, take a shot for me.
-
To this point it has to be a select few and not widespread. Not really an all hands. But maybe the upper tier handles this and the mid tier handles NIL? I have a better feel on confidence in our NIL comparative to others than this coaching search. I brought up where I gathered this news cause I was hopeful that was significant. If he has no clue on the search from where he sits? A certain someone is out of this. Nobody asked so I didn’t say, but think who a certain large name at Parkview in Fort Wayne would get his basketball info from. That gave me hope.

For Rick Pitino, that is a lifetime of happy self care.

Oh snap. Uh, in ap I have confidence?

Lmfao, oh we will see them in 4 years. Maybe a different moniker, but yeah…. I feel like my parents and grandparents right now. “They don’t make them like they used to”. IU coaching searches or top recruitments aren’t for the faint of heart.
-
I will give Dolson this. At least he isn’t shopping from the Archie Miller or Mike Woodson bargain barrel this time it seems. Feels like my Bears going after Ben Johnson after paying Eberflus half for 3 years. I want to believe. No insight to how hands off certain outspoken individuals are behind the scenes. Been trying to get a feel on that as much as anything. That will tell us how much freedom Dolson has and what the decision will look like.

Ole winky face if I had one.

Went the Louisville route and got a stripper gram for his wife. #winning

Scotty, literally nobody worries about whether or not you or the ghost eat crow over this my man. It’s not that serious. Most people have zero delusions over Brad Stevens being our next coach. They are just having fun. Some will give you crap because you guys are literally getting offended over this stuff. If you want to have serious conversations with serious people over legitimate options? My best guess, go sit at a bar with a buddy. You won’t find that online. Especially in a place like this until there is actual movement. Then people will be serious. This is 100% like every coaching search online since Bob Knight was fired.
-
Hope you been good my man. My brother was just asking if I ever see you around anymore. Hope you are doing well!
-
Exactly. I haven’t heard as much as others on Stevens. Would probably maul my first born for a chance at Brad Stevens. But if you aren’t entertained by it, why are you here? This is every coaching search of the last 25 years.
