Had to watch the game on DVR, but felt overall was a good game. Some key takeaways: - Even though our offense stunk for the majority of the first half along with our guards, the defense NEVER let up. Around the 5 minute mark when it was mostly newbies or walk-ons, North Alabama was only at 40 or 42 points! Thats amazing. - Once a few shots went in the teams confidence rose to another level. While we probably won’t shoot like that the majority of the time from deep, it was very beneficial to get their confidence up. - We need our veterans and key players to stay out of foul trouble. Duh, I know, but with a very short bench of experience players, we need our starters to stay out of foul trouble. - I felt this game is exactly how this season will unfold. Iffy offense, but the 1st and 2nd halves are foreshadowing this team. Once they get settled in, this team will be a good one down the stretch. I like where this team is heading! I have one paper left for finals week myself. It’s a biggie and due today, but it’s on regulations of cyber banking. I’m a cyber security major who ha been in banking for almost 10 years, I got this fairly easily :) lol. Anyway, I think any major job openings in the SEC will be worrisome. Agreed! Miller’s system he has in place is difficult to learn and geared towards specific types of players. I think we have seen these two be real big issues so far, but it’s gotten better. With the performance on the court lacking in a lot of wins, we’ve seen recruiting take a dip in ‘21 (to some degree) and slow going for ‘22. I do think things are trending up, but been slower than we all want with some inexcusable performances and results! I encourage everyone to reserve excessive judgement until the end of this season. God is amazing! So after I put my two weeks in I was let go immediately. Unfortunately, my new employee couldn’t get me started early so I was going to go a full month without a paycheck. My new boss and employer felt really bad that they were able to get approved for me to have a sign-on bonus that is equivalent to a normal two week paycheck at my old job!!! They’ve never done anything like this before but wanted to help me out (I never asked other than wanting to start earlier than the 28th with being let go). Thursday was a really bad day for me when I thought my family would have to go without my paycheck for a month. So blessed and thankful right now! New boss and employee are AMAZING!!!
