Seemed better this weekend. No full line changes that I recall, starters played the first 4 mintues without any subs. I haven't looked at a boxscore but it seemed like we only had about 8 guys getting minutes (starting 5, Austin, & Stan)... with Hanner spelling Noah... I know DD got a few and Howard got a few but overall I was much happier with the lineups and spans this weekend. And it comes out with a W so hopefully CTC learned something from this game as he said the players did.

Arizona has won a NC.... beating 3 #1 seeds along the way (late 90s sometime I believe)... I remember the run because a buddy is a fan and also I always like when the other Wildcats lose (Arizona beat UK in Indy for the championship)

  Maybe CTC should take the guys in to watch a few practices or games!!!!

Arizona seems legit to me. Of all the teams with the "Special Freshmen" they are the most complete team. Gordan is not even the best player on the team, can Kansas, Duke, or Ky say that? They don't get a lot of tv time or respect in this part of the country but I believe they are at the very least in the best 3 in the country.... with Syracuse & Wisconsin....

To me this is one of the easiest votes of the season..... We looked VERY good when Stan was on the floor... not so much when he wasn't. I have liked the limited looks we have seen from him recently and I think this effort and fire will be contagious.... I do think he will get more PT, if he starts or not is a CTC question but he should. In this instance I actually think he will because it is alot about emotion and fire for Crean.... and Stan definitely brings that.

To me we have to come out believing we can win.... If I hear we were just happy to be in the game, or we talked about just trying to keep it close or any other BS like that I will fly off the handle....   Besides that we are a good team and have to come out and play like a good team (that means no foul trouble, limited turnovers (15), decent shooting etc)   Lets go Hoosiers... can't wait til Saturday.

I think they were robbed as well. Per the rules I believe with .3 seconds left that is enough time for catch & shoot... and this was more like a tip as he caught and shot while still in midair. It all depends on clock operator as well but it seems very apparent in the video that the ball was out of his hands before the buzzer/light sounded.

IU - 101 Nicholls State - 61   Last time I watched a Notre Dame game, they took 5 OT to beat UofL.... after that UofL never lost again (that year) in route to a championship..... Can we please add some more similarities.... We could use a good run right about now.

Sheehey with 9 in under 9 minutes & Gordon 2 for 2 from behinf the arc..... good start for our seniors.   UGH it sucks that I am at work and my DVR is messed up at home....

I agree. I am a big fan of his and it has always been the other things he brings. Even if he never develops into a go to scorer he brings attitude, defense, rebounding, and teaching/leadership.... for those reasons he deserves to start and play many minutes. My only concern is that he is letting some of his athleticism go to waste on the offensive side. When he drives or gets the ball down low he can jump so he needs to start raising up and putting it in the basket with some authority.   Other takeaways from this game: 1.) Hanner really needs to work on his hands... some very nice passes that would set up easy scores and he consistently bobbles the catch giving the defense time to react or completely fumbles it into a turnover. 2.) Hollowell needs to come off the bench, he is not a starter. Over the past 2 games Evan has shown that he deserves that role. I hope CTC realizes it.  3.) 16 turnover is too many to win any big games (although a few of those came at the end with bench players that don't get much PT) 4.) Coach having the starters in that late in a blowout game is always a mistake. There is nothing they can learn in that situation and you open up the possibility of injuries. **** I don't blame Troy at all.... some say he should control it with time and score, but to me if you are on the floor you need to be playing hard.... all out all the time.... it is NEVER ok to take a play off if you are on the floor!!!!!

Well for my birthday last year (while I was in Bloomington for the Michigan game) my wife got the Candy Stripe pants... they are by far my favorite. I also have a #2 Jersey (anybody guess who??? That would be AJ Moye)... Those 2 things are worn for EVERY GAME regardless of where I am. I got a basketball autographed by the General, some flags, shot glasses, gnome, Oh yea and my IU Santa Hat... I guess it is time to pull that back out

Yogi Will Troy Noah Gordon   To me if we are trying to be the athletic run on everybody team we need to go with this lineup. Will & Gordon will be able to display the leadership and this opens all our options... Noah inside, Yogi on the perimeter (as a worst case scenario), Will work the midrange, Troy slashing, and let Evan run the point. I think this would be the most consistent lineup and allow us as a team to come out strong (as we are not going to be good playing from behind this year).

This game could lead to divorce in my house but it will be a great one.... By then we will have some experience as well as some new shooters.... and they will.... well they are predicted to lose a lot from this years team to next, so it remains to be seen if they can re-load.
