So you know the full story? Was it just homesickness?   Naples - you are right, not an official suspension but riding the pine with no chance at playing is basically the same thing.

Luke announced transfer was on 12/30/13.... Jeremy played on 1/4/14 and then began his suspension after that...   I am on the fence about this whole story which is why I was putting it out there to see if anybody else had ever heard anything like it.... I feel like it would explain some of our on-court issues but not sure about the truth.

Yep, forgot about Gordon thanks.... so we are even now but looking to sign more players.... I trust Crean on the recruiting trail I was just curious how it would work out.

I don't necessarily follow recruiting as much as some of you but aren't we maxed out on scholarships for the next 2 years? How are we still recruiting? (I know we need another big man but how do we make this work?)   Please correct me if I am wrong but: Doesn't each team have 13 available scholarships? We currently have 12 scholarship players - Losing 1 (Will), gaining 3 (Hoetzel, RoJo, JB Jr) that already puts us 1 over? I know we may lose Noah or somebody else will transfer or be forced out/off scholly to make the numbers work, but another on top of that?   We have no Juniors this year so that means we will not have any scholarships available the next year either without more deflections (NBA, Transfer, etc)

Very true!!! Honestly most teams try to win every game.... or at least I would.... hopefully it is a "trap" game, they are thinking more about Senior Night festivities, B1G Tournament, NCAA seed.... forget that they actually have to play against this bottom of the B1G team.... We have had there number so I am hoping that continues

Actually that is not a Fact.... Yes I was an athlete. I still am an athlete.... It doesn't matter if I recall my High School Football days, my little league baseball days, or the countless Softball, Volleyball, Dodgeball, Football leagues that I play in now.... If I was ever to get pumped up to play because I thought I looked good in my gear that would be a HUGE problem.... probably should start participating in beauty contests instead of sporting events.... I guess it is just an opinion and obviously everybody has one on 1 side or the other (and some in the middle).... I was just stating mine, that this is just the money hungry ploy and most likely an opening for permanent change and names on the back... I am all for updates with the times as far as the longer shorts, I understand the Candy Stripes don't go back to Branch... Traditions have to start somewhere and have to end sometime... they all do.... I am just not ready to see some of them go yet

I agree with NOLA.... no reason for this... we are IU we are not Baylor... we don't need to change just because everyone else is. Some of you are saying this is a small tweak.... but it is those small changes that open the door for names on the back, infra-red... Do the players really get hyped up for this? Are they really excited about it? Does it help them stay cooler or play better? (Hope Not, Doubt it, NO, NO).... it is a marketing ploy for IU and Addidas to make some extra money.   I would be dissappointed if any player said anything about being so excited to play because they get to wear new jerseys.... if you are not excited to play because you are playing at IU then go somewhere else and wear whatever jerseys you want!!

Hey that honestly looks like a good play.... We have had issues with the in-bounds play so why not try it... just tell the guy stay still do not move... get there early... even if it doesn't draw a foul it gives space for the inbounder.   I did like the okie-doke inbounds play we ran the other day as well.... Our inbounder passed it to another guy out of bounds who then inbounded the ball.... it worked so maybe that is why I liked it.....

I play when I get a chance or remember to do so.     It is fun but I am just basically playing against myself since I started late and have missed some games there is no way for me to compete with those who remember to enter picks for each game. (Of course I barely get 50% right anyway so I doubt I would be in the top even if I picked every game)   I agree if we could drop lowest however many scores and/or get them posted a bit farther in advance it would help get participation up.

Glad to see Purdue back on our Home & Home list.... Road Only list seems pretty favorable (except Wisky)... Also like the Home only list as those are 4 places that are not fun to have to go play there...   Obviously it changes each year but it appears our B1G season next year will be a little down SOS wise so I hope we play a better pre-conference schedule.....

I agree.... We have just as good a chance at getting beat by Robert Morris in the first round of the NIT (at HOME) as we have of losing to a UCLA in the first round of the NCAA (If we were to get in we would play somebody of that caliber first)... To me it is the NCAA Tournament or bust, I am sure the players would gain from playing in the NIT but there is a reason the Wisky fans were chanting NIT at us the other night, it is not a proud place to be!!!!

Here is my Rapid Reaction..... This was the most angry I have ever been watching a game that IU wins.... Even when we were up I couldn't shake the thought of us blowing it....   Can't inbound the ball again (well we did but it was scary) Stan had a great game.... but why does he dribble everytime he gets the ball down low, it seems he always losing it somehow when he does that... Gordon, oh my, I flip-flopped on him so much last night.... he drove me crazy with some of his plays but ended up being maybe the spark we needed (although I say the 3 was lucky and he padded his stats by hitting FT at the end)   Speaking of Free Throws.... PRACTICE THEM.... I understand Stan is not a good shooter but his form is horrible, some coach needs to take the time in the gym to change his form... not like it can get worse for him... Yogi is a good shooter but split them all at the end... Will having the game of his life and he can't hit free throws at the end....   BUT WE WON!!!!!! And for that I am thankful, I am IU through and through..... Now please keep winning and rid me of my stress!!!!

Bring him in as our coach.... apparently he has all the answers, he knows exactly what the IU team should be doing.... Oh wait already tried that....

I didn't say that you said he should be suspended and nothing else.... I said (or at least meant) that just because he got to lace em up and play that doesn't mean his punishment is over. When I said "He doesn't get a lot of minutes anyway so if your only form of punishment is suspended is that really a punishment I ask?" I didn't mean your as in Dalton's only idea of punishment... I meant if Hanner's only punishment.   I simply disagree with the rest though... being punished isn't the same across all fronts... as you serve your punishment it changes, it has different levels, it means something different.... IU is not the court of law but the punishment can be thought of in the same process.... He spent time in Jail... does that mean his legal punishment is over? No, but he doesn't have to stay in jail while facing the rest of the punishment. He was suspended for 2 games, then he was reinstated... does that mean Crean or IU is done with his punishment, no but they don't have to keep him suspended for the rest of it.   All I was trying to say.

Yes it is. There are many types of punishment. He doesn't get a lot of minutes anyway so if your only form of punishment is suspended is that really a punishment I ask? He did a bad thing, made a bad & dangerous decision. Only hope he learns from it... there is still a lot of punishment coming his way from the courts, the team, the coach.... he isn't going to be past this for a while.... I hope this isn't his attitude but what if he was suspended for the rest of the year, not like the team is having a lot of fun/success.... what is he really missing out on... even when he was suspended he was still on the bench with the team....

Nah... just COULD NEVER predict a loss for MY HOOSIERS.... but not feeling so confident so although I may not get the 25 points for predicting the correct winner I will not lose 25 points for picking the wrong winner... (At least I hope thats how the rules work)
