I said this in another thread but... HMP would be more of a force is he hacked 5 hard times... That's 5 more stops then he is getting by trying not to foul... If the other team still wants to drive put in Priller & Holt for 10 more hard fouls... Then when they are all done play a lineup with 4 guards and Troy...

I agree with you Parker... I hope it isn't foreshadowing but I didn't like what I perceived as some selfish plays throughout the game (& the season so far).... I hope it's nothing more than a coincidence but it is a point I am worried about.

Not trying to offend anybody... it has just been my take on it so far this year... I love Yogi, I love this team... I want them all to succeed... I want IU to succeed... So I stated that in my opinion Yogi appears to be very nterested in getting his.... all season I believe that to be the case... Last night he was leading us... he was doing what needed to be done to keep us in the game at the end... but I feel his mindset changed from "let's" win this... to I am going to win this for us....

I hope you are right... I got more of the impression that Yogi wanted to win.... not that Yogi wanted IU to win.... of course all the players want to win the game, they are all super competitive (at least I hope and assume those statemenets)... And I will give the credit to Yogi... he put the team on his back and tried to carry us to victory... but how did that turn out... the same way it turned out last year... he can carry us to some victories and other times we can not win on his shouders.... If he really wants to win then he needs to involve all the pieces.... He is a very good player and I wouldn't trade him for any PG in the country, just hope he realizes it is about IU and not K'Y'F.

I disagree... Nick has passion... him and Hartman are the only 2 I consistently feel WANT to win the game.... the problem is the 2 of them can not carry us.... He is trying to rally the team, it is part of his leadership style to be passionate like that... Yea he then gives up the lane and a layup but that is why he is trying to get his team to help.... get everybody pumped up...   Yogi & Troy both have insane amount of skill but are too greedy... only worried about getting theirs not about the team winning.   Stan & Rojo are streaky and could be really good... they are still on the fence to me.   JBJ scares me... I know he can be good, real good... but he seems very similar to Hollowell on the court in terms of demeanor... I guess they say it is a good thing to not force, and let the game come to you... but in a close game when you are supposed to be the 2nd coming it is time to take over... get aggressive... 7 points is ridiculous... (10 but the last 3 was just given to him)... Was his defender that damn good that he never was open all game... and if so work harder to be open....   HMP please just foul as hard as you can everytime somebody drives at you... at least you will get 5 stops during a game (as opposed to 0 the way you are currently playing).... and then we will be forced to play somebody else who can rebound and for god sake mayb play tsome interior defense!!!!!

My wife is getting extra nervous after a few games for the UofL v IU game... She is surprised by our talented shooters, and Montrezl is not exactly playing like a beast for them... it seems he has got a case of the Vonleh's... trying to hard to impress scouts maybe with his range... he has taken a lot of 3's already this season, camping on top of the key waiting for the kick out...   This is very good news for us if he isn't playing big down low...   I am liking the chances of those who predict 13-0.....

Better than 44-14... if he doesn't take that charge it could have been 44-14.... :onthequiet:   No seriosuly that was a big charge call and a heady play by HMP but I agree that he needs to do something different on the defensive end, I don't care if he scores 3 points every game he needs to be productive on the defensive end... rebounds should be a nice bonus but please just defend the basket.... Don't jump for EVERY shot fake, alter a few more shots, block a few...   Can't really complain about a W... and I will take it everyday no matter who has what stats.... the only stat that really matters is the TEAM W - L stat.... I am just more nervous aftre watching HMP against other bigs.

IU down 3 spots? I know we beat up on bad teams but we did what we were supposed to do to them...

I just went through the schedule and can very easily see us with 22 wins on the season. Seems like 22 should be enough for a tourney bid right? But that doesn't really give us a lot of Quality wins... Would it be better to just win the game we should or lose a couple of those but instead win some we shouldn't??? Small sample size so far but the freshmen look really good, C Hart has been a huge surprise, although I've always liked what he brought, wasn't sure if he could come back from the injury. Yogi is agonizing to watch, but like others can't write off the good he brings... Can't wait for Troy to get back in the lineup.

Ok so I am no a big gambler... When looking at the picks for the Dallas v Jacksonville game the line is Jacksonville is listed as the favorite and the spread says OFF(0).... What does that mean?
