  Because that is part of coaching and recruiting... When you get a chance to see your only 2 current recruits for the next season play at the same time you make every effort to ensure that happens. If he didn't go watch then everybody would be blowing about how he can't recruit and doesn't make guys a priority (especially if something where to happen and we miss on a recruit or have a decommit somewhere)....   And please don't believe that this was our biggest game of the year!!! Not even close (well I hope not anyway).   For the team, for Crean, & for IU Purdue is a rivalry but it shouldn't be looked at anywhere near the biggest game of the year this year. We are their biggest game because even if they don't make the tourney they can spew on that they beat us.... If we miss the tourney and beat them would any IU fan take solice in that? I sure hope not... I sure as he11 wouldn't...

I think people are way to hard on Stan (not just you, but in general).   His on ball D is good, he is pesky, he is all over the guy... very disruptive which is what you are trying to do on Defense.   On offense he has a good dribble drive, needs to take better care of ball and limit turnovers and we don't want him shooting deep jumpers right now, but driving and pulling up for short jumpers or taking it to the basket are things he can do well, gotta continue to improve finishing at the basket but at his size he has to take some off balance attempts when he gets that deep in the paint.

I believe ROJO is fine and will get the same starting lineup we have had.... However if for some reason he can't go I would love to see Stan get the start. I think a lot of his issues this year have been confidence related and getting the start could be a big boost of confidence.... I also think Stan driving to the basket would be able to draw some fouls.   My guess is that Z would get the start but if I was making the decision I would start Stan... then bring Z in as usual and hope his shots drop....

No, I think the 9-9 was all his points... oh and I forgot to mention he got fouled on 1 of those 3 point attempts that went in.... he then proceeded to the charity stripe and promptly AIRBALLED the Free Throw... prolly a good 2 foot short of making it to the rim.

I went to a High School game down here last week and this kid was enfuego just like Yogi... I think he went 9-9 from 3 including a Half Court shot off a turnover frenzy as the 1st half came to an end.... Game was just as lopsided as our game so the similarities go on

My list only comprises 5 teams..   1.) UK 2.) Duke 3.) UofL 4.) Syracuse 5.) Purdue   As for the rest of the B1G I can't say I hate them because i root for any of them (except Purdue) anytime they play anybody from any other big confrence.... Always nice to see them get beat but the NJIT of the world but against other big schools I always root B1G.

I do fear VCU, a new defense that we haven't seen = disaster at IU usually...   Virginia however I do not fear.. don't get me wrong I think they are very good, however the packline defense plays PERFECTLY into what our offense wants to do... Dribble into shots, dribble kick to outside shooters who can hit even with a defender trying to closeout... I would take our offense over there defense 99 games out of 100 (vs I could see VCU defense winning the battle against our offense at least 60 times out of 100)   Most Anticipated = UofL &/or UK I think we can beat either of these teams... UofL has some revenge factor in that they played there very best game of the season against us and wouldn't shoot like that again. Both would be tough games but i do think we could beat any of them if we are at least semi-on... wouldn't have to be full blown Maryland on but not MSU off either....

Oh if only this and we get games in Louisville..... Come on give us Southern Indiana fans a break here!!!! Love to see that YUM red turn Crimson!!!!!

Damn it... I haven't washed my game day attire (included socks and underwear) since the OSU game.... gonna start to get musty.... :)

This weekend (Duke).... Earlier this year (Duke)... not sure on the last one...   I get what King is saying because as mentioned recently in other threads a lot of us will NEVER "predict" a loss on the Predictions thread, doesn't mean we are ignorant BBIQ wise...   At the same time I am not doubting the Pritch that IU fans do know basketball better!!!!

UofL looking horrible so far today against Duke.... Why do we always seem to take teams best shot? UofL has struggled to score every game this season except against IU.... I know we go on and on about how bad our Defense is but it can't really be that can it? They were hot, they hit everything against us....   Now playing Duke who has had some defensive problems of their own and UofL can't buy a bucket even if they used CatMoney....

Not usualy a downer but.... Holt...   I expected a breakout game and instead he had his usual 13 minutes and nothing jumps off the screen to me that he did that helped us....

I agree with the thought process.... But did he (AI) ever not practice hard, subsequently go into a game and blow up... Don't know the answer but I am sure he did. And on the other hand did he ever not practice hard, subsequently go into a game and get eaten alive... then derive the need to practice internally....?   A coach telling you that you need to practice or that you are not ready for this level of ball is 1 thing, and for some people that would be motivation.... but if you go out in a game in front of fans, teamates, and tv and get used that is another thing and a much more personal reason to ramp it up in practice to make sure that doesn't happen again.   All I am saying is give him his shot.... either option isn't bad.... either he does good or maybe he realizes he has to practice harder to improve.

When was the last time Duke lost 3 straight games....? Serious question...   Although i am sure I will hear the answer to that question about 1000 times during the UofL game on Saturday....
