Could you imagine Walton & Dakich calling a game together?   I thought the other guy was at some point going to tell him to just shut up.

Alaska - Are you in the gym? How is the contingent? People there and excited or are people there because it is 8am and there is nothing else to do yet?

    TOM CREAN FIRED

My wife (UofL fan) said the same thing about us having plenty of time to get a good shot... I immediately said I bet we don't even get a shot off.. No confidence that we ever win a close game and sure as hell not a game at the buzzer... If we have a chance we waste it and if our opponent has a chance they will make it happen every time!

Tom Crean and his one dimensional players

I think Hartman is our most all around player, he can shoot, he can drive, he can pass, he can DUNK, and defensivly hr can guard multiple positions.

"PURDUE DOMINATES..." That is the headline on ESPN....   I don't know if I should laugh as they only scored 61 points.... Or be worried that they only allowed 39....   ODU is a top 100 team (90th) and is supposed to be challenged offensively and good/decent on defense but still!

    IU vs Creighton MVP

I agree with this sentiment IF the other teams bigs go out to guard him... in this case all 4 3pt shot attempts were wide open, they stayed inside and dared him to shoot the 3 and he did (1 other time in the 2nd half they did it again but he passed up the shot).... If they go out to defend it opens driving lanes for sure, however if they lay off it makes it even harder to drive for our slashers.

    Buy or Sell

I agree with points 1 & 2....   On point #3 it all comes down to path... in 12-13 we struggled against a zone (more specifically a Syracuse style zone) and we fell right on that path... this year if we end up struggling against bigger teams (although I actually think we will hold our own very well against them), we could be in a situation in which we play no bigger teams on our entire tourney path.   To me this is a very tough buy or sell because at the beginning of the 12-13 season I would have said that team for sure, however knowing where that team ended up I want to hope this team exceeds that. Also the wording of better built for the NCAAT.... I like the depth of this team more, if not for a few late season injuries that team could have went farther, if this team has a few we could potentially overcome (depending on who - Not Bryant, and prolly not Yogi).   Overall I say we are better built this year, hopefully it plays out that way.

    IU vs Creighton MVP

We already have plenty of guys who can shoot from the perimeter... Like I said I know he can hit them... and if he takes 1 a game or so then fine by me... but no reason for him to take 4 3s in a game in my opinion.   He is quickly becoming 1 of my favorites... but each person has a role and a responsibility and his needs to be down low for the most part.   I just don't see many guys that are going to be able to handle him in the post, even the big guys we will face in the Big Ten... while pulling them out to the perimeter sounds enticing (because I am positive there are not many big guys at all that could guard him out there) that leaves a gaping hole, and if they don't come out to guard him that limits our other players ability to drive the lane (if he was down there occupying them they couldn't come over to help defense as much).
