James Blackmon Jr to undergo Surgery *Out for Season?
Str8Hoosiers replied to rebelhoosier848891's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
What about covering up an internal issue... not an off court issue? Crean recently preached about toughness etc, I know it is not his style to bench a player for lack of effort or anything like that but could something else (besides injury) have happened at practice? And I really don't think Crean is dumb, but I definitely wouldn't say he is above trying to cover up any issues!!!!!! Especially knowing his job may potentially be on the line. I think he is smart enough to do anything he can to try to keep the prestigious position he has. **** I am not saying any of this is a fact, it is purely my speculation... It was what I thought of when I heard JBJ wasn't playing, and by watching his demeanor on the bench. -

Makes sense but they are being very vague and he has a history of knee issues.. Saying they are still evaluating etc... If he comes back quick and nothing major wrong it will be very fishy -
James Blackmon Jr to undergo Surgery *Out for Season?

Any chance their is NO knee injury? My first thought was a cover up? Did he do something over the break that warrants a 1 or 2 game suspension but that kind of bad press right now absolutely couldn't come out? Or Crean mentioned recently that toughness was going to be a factor in playing time in Big Play... Sending a message? Just a thought... -
Indiana at Rutgers - 13:00 EST on ESPN2 - Official Game Thread

Watched late after work... What a horrible game... For a win it was very hard to watch AGAIN.... Was so happy and excited to watch a game without JBJ... Unfortunately Yogi did his best impersonation today... He was all about Yogi over the team and looked lost on defense half the time (which admittedly is only half as often as JBJ). Collin players a great game today, hitting the early 3s was huge, he is the only guy that passes the ball into the post on a consistent basis. He looks for post feeds like others look for 3s. Max played a great all around game today as well. NZ3 wasn't hitting but played with heart, OG, Juwan, Burton all played well in limited minutes. -

(2016) SG Grant Gelon commits to IU
Str8Hoosiers replied to Stuhoo's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Makes sense, I don't watch a lot of high school ball and when I've seen Romeo (new Albany) play he wasn't doubled at all so I wasn't sure how much that happened but thought I read the GG was ball denied in a gamelan by multiple defenders... On the other hand if you have a good second option why force it... Smart team ball to not force -

I remember this kid named Jeff Hedges that was held to 4 points in a game his senior year. Never heard of him right? That's because he wasn't D1 nor NBA caliber.. -

How much has to do with teams doubling Gelon? Denying him the ball at all costs? Subsequently giving Sasha easy opportunities? -
Why do we play at 1:00?
-
What tickets?

BUMP... Another year with great IU stuff!!!! All the Egg Nog is gone (as well as the Whisky. Beer, Wine, and anything else to o the trick)... In-laws are on their way home, houses are still a mess... Anybody getting in Great IU gifts? I got a pair of IU socks, a Columbia IU Jacket, a IU Football Sideline Pullover, and tickets to a couple games in Assembly! (Purdue & Maryland)

Indiana v. Kennesaw State - 18:00 EST on BTN - Official Gamethread
Str8Hoosiers replied to MartintheMopMan's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
I think you are mistaken... Basketball is a game that is only played on 1 side of the court and when you need to rest you go to the other side and do that..... Although Rojo & Morgan are trying to change this process... -

This team has scored 70+ just twice all season.... IUPUI & ELON.... if they put 70 on the board against us that is absolutely ridiculous... I felt like the defense looked better at times but they them give up free lay up after free lay up, free 3 pointer... -

I use IE at work to except for this site I always use Chrome... I had the issue before and that was the explanation. I still like IE but the more I use Chrome the more ok I find it to be.. Eventually I'll completely make the switch lol -
Very good points. I want to slowly move up, earn every spot... But I do want them in the top 15 at the end of the year, top 4 seed in the dance.. That was my expectations this year and although I don't see it happening now we gotta take care of business when we should and win at least 2 of 4 of the tough ones to get to that point.
-
I agree, so does 7 more victories over subpar BIG teams get their attention?
-
As I said before I think it would... But new polls came out today considering our Notre Dame victory and we have 0 votes, 5 BIG teams received votes including Iowa and Northwestern... If we are now thought of behind Northwestern we may have more work to do than I thought.
-
And our schedule sets us up for a late season swoon for sure, the toughest games are all at the end
-
Lame.... Lol jk jk.. I prolly didn't get many right either
-
Not a lot of tough games to start Big Ten, but yea I think starting of 7-0 would get us back in the rankings
