Huge blow to Mizzou and sucks for Porter Jr and for college basketball. He is a dynamic, fun player to watch. Hope he comes back the same. He should still be a top 3 pick in the NBA draft if all goes well so I doubt we see him playing in college again. Not sure how he still has a chance at being a top 3 pick.... If I were an NBA exec I would be very cautious especially with the medical prognosis that at best 90% of his former ability and subject to re-injury and residual problems ongoing. That seems like a lot of risk vs reward? I know he was supposed to be good, and he is young so could heal up fine but if I am an exec I want him to show me by playing 1 more season in college.

They have a decently ranked Defense (better than us) but struggle to score more than we do.... IU 66 EMU 58

There isn't really a perfect Thread for this but since I noticed it in this game in particular and I haven't seen anybody else mention it I thought I would and get thoughts.... I noticed on almost every in-bounds play on our side of the court we would inbound the ball to the near corner, immediately pass to the closest wing, who immediately passed to the other wing, who immediately passed to the far corner.... Then we would reset and get into our offense. Did anybody else notice this? Thoughts on the purpose? Are they looking for options along that path to attack or shoot, or is it simply just being engraved into them to stretch the floor by doing this?

I disagree that Al is the only guard trying to feed the post, I think DG does this constantly... I agree he needs to cut back on turnovers but I honestly believe the more he plays the more his TO will go down because the other guys will get more used to it... ready to catch passes, not being surprised etc.... If the guys were ready to catch the "unexpected" pass his TO numbers would be much lower.... he doesn't telegraph, he doesn't make straight line passes... the bigs need to wipe the butter off their hands and be alert when DG has the ball. Al on the other hand seems to have a good ability to drive the ball and maybe gets in better angles to make the entry passes so they are easier on the big guys (which is a definite plus). Also I don't see DG as selfish at all.... everybody is talking about how we need a go to guy to get a shot in the clutch and to me he is that guy..... he can create for himself and others while not being scared to take the shot....

Just got to watch the game... i felt like intensity was there all game. 2nd half made me feel really good!!! Ready to dismiss Morgan in the first half, seriously thought i was going to have an aneurysm yelling... but he had a pretty good 2nd half. Hope this is not an aberration for RoJo... Green is amazing to watch... Durham could be special. CuJo adds absolutely nothing to this team. Hartman return will be big. Clifton finally showed me something, in time i can see him get a few minutes.

Everybody is all over ROJO & Newkirk... and I don't disagree, but what is up with Morgan? To me he is the most disappointing of all, I had high expectations for him, loved him in prior seasons... this year he can't catch a pass, all he wants to do is shoot 3s (which he sucks at), can't hit free throws.... The good thing is that I assume his are the minutes Hartman will eat into once healthy.... Is he trying to do too much? Is it mental? Is it injuries? Buy in? Not seeing much from him defensively either? I thought he was maybe our "dawg" but doesn't seem like it through 3 games.

How does this work? Each week I will create Prediction League threads for the weeks game(s).
