The current rule in place that people think of with one and done is definitely an NBA rule, however the NCAA can very easily put its own rule in place so they get the blame as well in my opinion. If the NBA changes their rule then I agree this all goes away but NCAA has input on their own rules as well, they don't have to just sit back and accept the current state. Some of the suggestions from the NCAA Commission etc are a great example of some steps they could take. Basically they can say a Scholarship is granted on a 2 or 3 year basis at least so if you are recruiting 1 and done players that is 1 less scholarship you have the next year (or 2). There would have to be all sorts of rules and clarifications of rules etc but it is a starting point.

That is exactly what I am saying (sarcasm font). HELPING them not make bad decisions would be a great thing and I am sure they all have plenty of people and resources to help them with that.... however FORCING them to not have a decision to make is not a good thing (in my opinion). Also FORCING some to make a bad decision (because it is the only option for even those Lebron/KD/Kobe's of the world) is not a good thing. In my opinion it is not only a VERY bad thing it is also discrimination (age discrimination) which is illegal in so many other scenarios.

I disagree, if a kid makes that choice then he has to live with the consequences. You are saying 1&D helps the athlete because it stops them from having a choice, that maybe they make the wrong choice. Some obviously would but it also prevents some from making the right choice (because there is no choice to go immediately). I would also say most (very high%) of those that would consider going from high school do go after 1 year so they aren't getting an education nor the 3-4 years of good coaching and exposure.... maybe 2 but usually not. Then the only other benefit of 1&D is for the NBA execs... And you didn't say it but the only benefit for the NCAA is that they can make money off these players for 1 year. However if they weren't in the NCAA it could eliminate a lot of issues that the NCAA has to deal with as well.

I believe the thought process with this is not necessarily that he is definitely coming back... it is more that he is not DEFINITELY going to leave.... You are correct getting out of a lease would be easy (sub-lease or just pay with new found millions), however if he already knows for sure he isn't coming back no point in signing a lease. I believe that his plans were to STAY and then decided to test the waters.... could he still go, yes... but I don't think he would Plan to go all along like I believe Troy & JBJ for example planned on going....

I think that is the point.... They are awkward around pretty girls so they go somewhere with no pretty girls!

TJD & Romeo to IU

I am not an NBA fan so I have no idea and am curious.... Aren't all the G League teams associated with an NBA team (similar to minor league baseball)? I know not all NBA teams have a G League team (at least I think I know that) but I thought all G League teams in existence had an NBA team affiliation? And if my assumptions above are correct how can they jump directly to the G League? Is there a G League Draft? Who would get somebody like this' "rights"? Thanks for any info anybody can share.

Heard this too. Recruit's family saying they are being recruited for UofL now by the same ppl that were recruiting them to X. New AD officially in place. States new coach by San Antonio. Read 1 thing that points to Wednesday, then just heard a press conference possible today at 5pm.

I get the same Amazon Contest redirect from time to time... it is annoying but I just close out and come back and usually doesn't happen again, I can't imagine how mad I would be if it happened every time.

Since I have already advanced My pick for Saturday 3/17 is #3 Seed Tennessee.

I disagree, if it was a seasoned veteran that has played at IU (for example) for 3 years that is different than a seasoned veteran from Ohio U and Evansville.... I would take the Top 10 Recruit in this case. I think the talent is better but also think there is more to winning games than talent alone. Romeo excites the fanbase which puts more fans in the seats and that helps get wins this year! Does Ryan Taylor do that? Nope, most fans/students wouldn't know who he was. Romeo has the potential to be an elite scorer and Taylor would not be this. I understand Romeo could also be a bust so maybe the floor is higher for Taylor but the ceiling is higher with Romeo.

Time to take a chance on my day 2 (3/16) pick. I am going with 7 seed Texas A&M in the first game of the day.

I went 15 of 16 yesterday, unfortunately the 1 game I lost I had them going to the Finals too..... DANG it !!!!
