Str8Hoosiers

I was there with my son... it was his first game.... and thank goodness we didn't leave early... he talks about that game all the time... I am ok with a repeat tonight!

This is a tough one for me.... and I have been absolutely terrible lately at picking anything right... 1 more chance and then I am scrapping my whole system... Penn State is a marginally better team than us overall this year -2.4, Penn State is at Home -4, we have been playing better lately +3, we are coming off a hard fought loss +2, Penn State is PENN FREAKING STATE +5, We haven't shown the ability to even remotely play well on the road -3, we have been scoring better +2, but the defense has had some lapses too -3.... And after all that nonsense I am basically at a tie ball game... and since that can't happen I predict we go to Overtime and score more points than would be expected but come up short... Only 5 people predicted a Maryland win.... nobody got the scores, however @fwgreenway did expand his lead by a big chunk in this one.. Oh and I was near the bottom again... WOW, I am actually very surprised by the effectiveness of the lineups with Green in the game.... as I watched I would have said those were the worst times in the game.... maybe it is skewed because the total minutes of those lineups has to be pretty small... I have always been a big fan of Green, but he is slowly but surely losing me... I am now all aboard the Joey Buckets bandwagon!!!!

Thought this same thing forever... especially after an initial warning has been given and they make an announcement to the crowd... opposing fans should definitely get secretive and throw things on the court in a close game towards the end... I mean they SHOULDN'T.... but I am surprised it hasn't happened considering the rules seem to make it a T against the Home team regardless.

I am going to start the line with them better by -6.... they play really good defense and we can struggle to score -3.... we are at home +5, and although it is a fairly early game the students can get "oiled" beforehand +2....I will be in the Hall +3... I have really liked Archie's commitment to use the bench as a motivator or at the very least keep the "bad" off the court for the night +2..... Where is that? Draftkings? Fanduel? Local Book? I don't see how this can be afforded for them if it is true...but I want in...

This is a tough one for me.... I see a lot of positivity and confidence in these early predictions.... I feel like MSU starts as a 7.5 point favorite in my algorithm..... We are at Home and the Hall should be Rocking for this one +6, we have not played well consistently and we are coming off a road win -3, MSU can score better than anybody we have played to this point and we struggle to score -4, but their defense isn't as good as others we have played (still good) +1 I really want to figure out a reason to predict an IU victory but I can't find one outside of my HEART and GUT.... which we have a lot of in Joey Buckets +3, but not so much anywhere else on the team -5 Archie seems to be walking the walk, based on minutes played recently etc +2 I hope I am wrong again. Here we go again.... I believe we are about 13 points better than them in general.... However I have underestimated our road incompetence in the past and won't do that here... -6. We can't seem to find any consistency and we played really badly on Wednesday so this should be better +1... I really don't believe I have mentioned we are on the ROAD so -3 That puts me at a IU +5 I don't believe we can figure out our scoring on the road so I will say it will be low scoring affair.... Are you saying as a UNIT? Or is this what was read? Because by player the 27 is less than normal for most of the starters. .... I will be mad because I am always mad if/when IU loses... But I do expect to lose on the road more often than not the rest of the year so I wouldn't be surprised. Agree with most above, if we can split this week it will be a WIN... if we do go 2-0 that is outstanding.... if we go 0-2 that sucks but again wouldn't be totally unexpected

My biggest concern is that is appears CAM is all talk again and no action... I am glad we won the game, and many of the guys who the fans would guess are on the short end of the stick played a role in that, but he insinuated that the 11 man rotation was a thing of the past and instead he played 10... which I thought was bad enough and sorta a slap in the face to fans (not that he owes us anything) but then to find out/realize #11 wasn't available to play makes me believe that he would have stuck with the 11 man rotation.... I am an Archie supporter... I loved the hire, and I am still on board (although the faith isn't as high as it once was)... but don't give us the Crean talk in the pressers and then not do a damn thing in reality.... If your philosophy is run 11 guys and wear the other team out so be it, say it, own it, deliver it... but if you say 11 guys doesn't work but don't change a thing as far as actions, that is a quick way to create more doubt from the fanbase.

I will go back to my algorithm (which not unlike the NET I won't reveal to any of you).... It did fail me last game but that was good news for the Hoosiers... So.... I think in general we are about on the same level as Rutgers (we are better offensively if you can believe it, but they are better defensively).... They are at home (-3), we haven't shown the ability to play multiple good games in a row (-2), the rotation didn't "really" get shortened (-1), but they are still RUTGERS (+3) IU 64 Rutgers 67

How does this work? Each week I will create Prediction League threads for the weeks game(s). Makes sense... I was trying to say they are probably a 10 point better team in general, but we haven't even been playing up to that potential, so that makes them an 18 point better team when we play like A$$... then factor in RMK, SSAH, & Me!!!! LOL
