Nobody made any type of assertion that their lives mean more or less.... That's you trying to find a way to argue your narrative. The FACTS of the matter are that there is a difference between older or immuno compromised people dying from a new virus vs younger otherwise healthy people. There obviously need to be precautions... but the precautions taken by 1 group aren't the same as need to be taken by the other. The amount of PANIC in the streets would be much different as well.... Do you see people in Indiana boarding up and stocking up during Hurricane season? NO... but the people in Florida or on the East Coast do.... different precautions for different risks. That is not currently ascertainable... nobody has any idea yet what the fatality rate is... If I was a betting man I would say it is much closer to the .03% - .1% range than this made up number of 3%

Yes... as would most people. If HEALTHY 18 year olds were dying this would signify a very BIG difference vs what is actually happening.

No difference in knowing the risks that are involved and making that decision based on the risk vs reward thought process. Your initial question was "Did they assume risk by coming into work to have money to eat?" The answer to that question is YES

How is it different? It is a level of risk that you are well aware of. If I want to go to a sporting event I know that I know that 1 of the 50,000 there may come into contact with me and may have the Virus.... Your employees go to work they know there is potential there that 1 of the other 5 employees may have the virus or may have been to a sporting event. If I am willing to take the risk of going ANYWHERE then I know the risk is not only where I am going but it is everywhere that anybody else there has been going. If you are so worried about your employees not being able to eat... give them all paid time off until the pandemic has passed...

You have been saying this same thing in every thread... we get it... And to answer your question YES they assumed the risk by not self-quarantining just as somebody else did by going to a sporting event or out to eat at a restaurant....

The thing is he ranted about Archie owing Lunardi an apology, about how his job is to win games, about being under .500 in conference being a disqualifier, about he doesn't care how tough the conference is, how he will defend Lunardi because he knows how hard he works... blah blah blah But then the next topic he got on was how great UNC is... how they could make a run.... well guess what they were 6-14 in conference... and they are under .500 in total.... I get that he wasn't necessarily advocating for them to get an At Large bid... but still seems very hypocritical to me.

May take at least 3 overtimes to get to 50 in that one...

Haven't read through this thread so sorry if this is just rehashing what has already been discussed.... Very Good night for Archie... I think he showed some fire/passion and also made the right adjustments... Race has been increasing minutes and Brunk decreasing but it was obvious early tonight that Oturu was going to destroy Race so Brunk got more minutes and not only helped slow down their big guy but was somewhat of a threat on the offensive end (I wish he would shoot more and throw the ball at the rim less). Franklin played limited minutes but he knew his role when he came in the game and pushed the pace. Rob finally able to finish around the rim more consistently is a HUGE thing. Green played well in spurts and never really hurt us... TJD is an unstoppable force... he needs polish but continues to grow... if he could finish a higher percentage of his layups (even when being fouled) it would be huge.

So what happens in these cases? Does Seattle U get credited with a W in each of these cases of the other school forfeiting? Does it have no effect on records? No chance or quickly scheduling the game at a different location?

Archie said yesterday that he has a Foot Sprain... no further elaboration if it will require sitting out or anything like that. From what i saw it happened in the Purdue game but flared up in the 2nd half of the Illinois game. I would guess he will play through it..

How does this work? Each week I will create Prediction League threads for the weeks game(s). It's a simple concept: Each week you start with 100 points (only if a prediction is made, otherwise 0 points for the week) +25 PTs if you guess the winner -25 PTs if you pick the loser +10 PTs if guess IU score correctly +10 PTs if guess Opponent score correct -The # of points different between the actual and predicted score of IU (over/under doesn't matter) -The # of points different between the actual and predicted score of opponent (over/under doesn't matter) *** Reminder if you post a prediction and want to change it, please just POST a NEW Prediction, do not edit a prior post as I may miss those edits. The person with the most points (MINUS 2 LOWEST GAMES) at the end of the season wins.
