How this works!!! Each week I will create Prediction League threads for the weeks game(s). Why oh WHY are we keeping Tyrod Taylor? For months I have been looking forward to March so I could rid myself of Crean & Taylor and now 1/2 of that doesn't appear to be happening. I am happy with some of our signings so far (Micah Hyde - S & Hauska - K).... but we no longer have Gilmore or Robert Woods.... Tyrod is bad enough and now 1 less weapon to throw to. Any possibility of drafting a QB and still releasing Tyrod (or I guess keeping him on the bench)?

Rob & Jerome I thought played great games... Rob did back off a little in the 2nd half. Jerome got attacked on the defensive end a few times, but I felt he held his own and made them stop trying him.... he was aggressive all night as well...

I knew the score I was going to predict (IU 77 - Neb 61) but I forgot to do it in my BUFFALO BILLS BLISS over the weekend.... so you all may have gained a little bit on me but I am coming back to win this thing!

My vote is RACE.... agree with everyone above that it was a team effort, and TJD sealed the deal for us like the best player on a team should do!!! But without Race in the 1st half this one could have gotten away from us..... there were multiple times I was yelling at the TV to Hockey Line Change everybody but Race!

But he always seems to motivate them at halftime... we start 2nd halves really good all season long.... Does he need anger/yelling/chip on a shoulder to be motivating? I agree we come out flat to start a lot of games it seems, but then after halftime there is always something different... bottle that... use that before the game... (although if it is anger that doesn't fly well before you have played a minute of action).... gotta find something else, some other way to motivate prior to tipoff.

Wisconsin can score, but we can defend.... the problem comes in that they can also defend and we sometimes have trouble scoring... I think this is going to be a close one and low scoring but they are likely to get the victory. IU 63 Wisconsin 70

Tradition = at least two transmissions over three generations are required for a practice, belief or object to be seen as tradition. Generation = all of the people born and living at about the same time, regarded collectively. It can also be described as, the average period, generally considered to be about 20–⁠30 years, Therefore our TRADITION at IU is SO MUCH MORE than just being Mediocre..... I am 1 of the people the OP was referring to when saying this topic bothers some... to me it is pointless... uniforms have absolutely NO effect on the product on the floor, nor the recruiting trail. If you personally don't like them and want them to change that is fine, but to say get with the times, or to infer that it in some way would make IU basketball better on the court or more relevant nationally to fans or recruits is absurd. I LOVE the uniforms (I do like Nike better than Addidas, but that is personal and not even specifically about the look of the uniforms), I LOVE LOVE the Candy Stripe Warm up pants.... It is Tradition... it is something we do that is unique and different from majority of the other 353 NCAA Division 1 programs...

Which answer says desperation and uncertainty? Either? If that is the case what is the answer that doesn't lead to firing him? Or is that not even an option... in which case you (the AD) wouldn't be asking the questions from before, you would just fire him and look for the next coach... and for you the next coach would be Stevens, Beard, Few, etc.... I get it... that is a solution, that is a thought out process.... Thanks. But what is Stevens isn't an option, hopefully one of the next 6 guys you listed wants the job... but if not how far down the line do you go... do you have any of this figured out BEFORE firing the known commodity? Brass - Sorry for derailing your thread down this path.... back on topic.... I see the upperclassmen coming around more and more each game... as long as the improvement continues through the rest of the season then I say no case for playing the 2020 kids more than they are currently playing. You play to win now... never know what the future is going to bring.

Can Archie be MVP? (I guess not as it is MVPlayer)... Leading up to the game, he mentions getting Lander & Geronimo more minutes (obviously coming from Rob & Al), while also mentioning Rob & Al need to step up their game.... Well it worked, and both of them had solid above average games. This one is close in my mind, as a few guys did some very important things... but I think overall I vote Al Durham!

You just constantly repeat the same things you see on twitter or on here.... Fake Pick & Rolls is the issue du jour! If you want to have a legitimate conversation I am all in... but if you just want to keep regurgitating the same hot takes and 1 liners, well.... well nothing... you do you!

TRUST! 1.) Trayce - Once he has the ball he is not being stopped. On defense he is a presence. 2.) Race - On the offensive side he is going to make the right play. He doesn't seem to get hurried or bothered by the defense. On defense he is a lot to handle indside, there aren't a lot of 4s who are going to be able to take him down low, and he is quick enough to play with perimeter 4s. 3.) Trey - He scares the heck out of me with the leaving his feet to pass, but he always seems to find the angle/lane to make it work. If he can develop a shot to be able to keep defenders honest he is going to be something... Don't want him to turn into a McRoberts (no offense to the guy) 4.) Armaan - as far as shooting goes, his is the one I believe will fall most often! But when all else fails and we have to have a bucket in crunch time or to break a drought I lean towards Rob & Al... through their deficiencies they have the most killer instinct... the most go get it for yourself ability.

I would strongly disagree with that assessment... I watch a lot of basketball, and I have been watching IU for as long as I can remember and the opportunities the Archie Offense gives us are REALLY REALLY good ones.... we just don't hit the shots, part of that is sometimes it is the wrong guy getting those opportunities (i.e. Race being wide open on the wing). We obviously still take bad shots as well (Al or Rob driving into the trees with no chance) but for the most part I would say we get the looks any team would want.... we just have to hit them more consistently. But more on point, I wasn't saying those things, I was saying if those were his answer to the questions being asked by the AD then how do you proceed? Where is the Solution?

IU has to score with them... hit some shots, and slow down there offense some on defense, but this is a game we can win... IU 79 Maryland 74
