I may be reading stuff wrong, but I was under the impression this guy has two years left. I don't know if he plans to use both years though. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners -

NBA Draft Lottery (Cleveland at 1... Again)
All_Hoosiers replied to mdn82's topic in National Basketball Association
If the latest mock drafts resemble the actual draft, Noah Vonleh is barely gonna be a top ten pick after being predicted top five for awhile. I thought teams were in love with him. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners -

I just saw the tweet about Gordon before Vonleh and Randle. I'd be mad if I was a fan of the team that did that. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners -

I'll be very pleasantly surprised if Sheehey gets drafted. He must've been impressive in workouts. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners -

I would like it if Paul George coincidentally showed up during recruiting visits. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners -

Can Indiana be a consistent winner under Coach Crean?

Can Indiana be a consistent winner under Crean? Sure. Will it be a consistent winner under Crean? We'll see, maybe. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners -
Mo Creek working out for the Wizards tomorrow. Probably just checking on a DC college player to see if a summer league invite would be worth it. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

I haven't found a topic on the MLB Draft, so I thought I'd put some information on Hoosiers in the draft right here. The draft begins tonight with rounds one through three, and will continue into Saturday. Not surprisingly, Kyle Schwarber headlines the list of Hoosiers that will be drafted this weekend. The catcher has mainly been attached to the Cubs (No. 4), the Rockies (No. 8), and the Padres (No. 13). Sports Illustrated has him going as low as 27th overall to the Cardinals, but I personally doubt he lasts that long. I've also seen the Angels mentioned at 15th overall. No matter where he goes, he will be drafted in the opening round. Multiple Hoosiers will also get drafted early in the 40 round process as well. The mock drafts are only looking at the first round, but ESPN's Keith Law apparently heard them linked to Sam Travis. Chris Webb tweeted, "Building on what Keith Law stated in latest mock, Sam Travis is in play for Boston at 26, among a group of 5 at top of board. Keeps rising." RiverAveBlues.com describes Travis as "a righty hitter with some power and crazy good plate discipline." http://riveraveblues.com/2014/06/draft-links-mock-drafts-travis-oliver-stout-104389/ Other Hoosiers in Baseball America's Top 500: 3B Dustin DeMuth (240) RHP Jake Selzer (486) Indiana commit Logan Sowers (OF) is also in Baseball America's Top 500, coming in at 312. Sowers will probably still come to Bloomington. Most, if not all, Indiana baseball recruits should come to Btown.

(2015) C Daniel Giddens to OSU

If only tall guys didn't matter in basketball and I didn't have to worry about them or their post touches, fandom would be much less stressful. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app -
I'll never understand the hate for LeBron. I mean a lot people don't just dislike he guy. There is some legit hatred there. I don't blame him for getting out of Cleveland, and it's not like that Heat roster is amazing either. He's carrying the load for them. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

If I were a coach and recruiting big men against IU, I'd probably say something along the lines of: "Indiana had a big man go fourth in the 2013 draft and will likely have another big man be a top 8 pick in the 2014 draft. Cool, right? But just imagine how much higher the two players would've gone had the Hoosiers fed the post. Don't end up like those guys. Don't let Tommy hold you back. Come to my school." There's more to a big man, his recruitment, and his development than simply feeding the post. I agree it's a rather big problem of our offense, but if a tall kid won't choose IU merely because he may not get as many touches as he would like, it might be best for both parties to go their separate ways. This is an issue that will be eased with winning, and exponentiated with losing. It is a problem (and right now it's a very big problem), but I think we're looking at it too one-dimensionally. Signee Logan Sowers was drafted in the 31st round. He'll definitely be coming to Bloomington though which is probably why he lasted so long. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

Josh Ockimey, an Indiana commit, was drafted by the Boston Red Sox in the fifth round. He was likely going to take the starting first base job, but now it's uncertain if he will make it to IU. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

Sam Travis goes to Boston at 67th overall. Congrats to both Hoosiers selected tonight.

Sounds like the Cubs will put him in left field and expect a quick rise through the minors. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

The Chicago Cubs selected Kyle Schwarber, making him the highest Hoosier ever selected in the Draft. He's been described as possibly the best power bat in the draft. Great accomplishment for a great player. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
