1. Recruiting is confusing, hectic, and changes by the second. It's near impossible to keep track of it all. This, however, should make it a little easier, as each Friday we'll do a roundup of the biggest IUBB recruiting news: offers, visits, interest, and more. Let's dive in.   -- Starting off with some not-so-good news: 2015 G Allonzo Trier committed to Arizona. Sean Miller continues to dominate the recruiting trail. -- More bad news: 2015 G Donovan Mitchell trimmed his list to five. Although he was expected to visit Indiana, the Hoosiers did not make the cut. Mitchell quickly committed to Louisville. -- Feeling down? This might help. 2015 G Shake Milton also trimmed his list, but Indiana was included in this one. Reminder: He'll be visiting IU along with MoKan Elite teammate, 2015 F Juwan Morgan, in September. -- Keeping with this trimming list theme, 2015 G Terance Mann tweeted out his final six, which included Indiana. Mann told me Crean and Co. called last week, are "very interested" and want him to come up in the fall for an official visit. -- New name: 2015 F Ogugua Anunoby was on campus this week and picked up an Indiana offer. O.G. also picked up offers from Georgia and Vanderbilt. -- 2017 G Paul Scruggs visited IU this week. -- 2017 G Gary Trent Jr. picked up an offer from Providence. Oh, and Michigan State is interested too. -- Speaking of Michigan State, 2015 G Matt McQuaid visited the Spartans. -- 2015 G Kenny Williams added an offer from North Carolina. The guard also cut his list to seven, and Indiana is still in the mix. -- 2016 G Eron Gordon continues to remind schools that he isn't a lock to Indiana. -- 2015 C Thomas Bryant will use an official visit on Missouri, who just hired his old Huntington Prep coach. -- 2015 F Juwan Morgan announced his seven finalists. Expectedly, Indiana was one of them. -- 2017 F Malik Williams visited and received an offer from the Hoosiers. -- UCLA hosted a couple 2016 IU targets this week: 2016 F Thon Maker visitedthe Bruins, as did 2016 G Payton Pritchard. -- 2016 G Eli Wright unofficially visited Tennessee. -- Staying with the Vols: Tennessee offered 2015 G Bryant Crawford. -- Another 2016 IU target visited a Western U.S. school: 2016 F T.J. Leaf was on Arizona's campus. -- 2016 G Kyle Guy continues to pull in the offers. The latest one comes from California. -- We all know Tom Crean is never done recruiting. Now he's reportedly expressing interest in former Oregon signee Ray Kasongo who was denied admission into Oregon. According to John Martin, Kasongo is down to a final three of Kansas, Michigan State, and Indiana. Kasongo is visiting the Jayhawks this weekend, and will make a trip to East Lansing next Tuesday. -- This means nothing of importance to Indiana recruiting, but I stumbled across it and found at least mildly interesting. Remember Jakeem Yates? Probably not, but he was mentioned around the time Jeremiah April and Tim Priller committed. Anyway, he signed with Florida State this week. I tried to involve any news remotely relating to IUBB recruiting. However, I more than likely missed something. If I did or you notice a glaring mistake, please respond below. Come back next week for another roundup. Click here to view the article

(2015) SF Ogugua Anunoby to IU
Mann is more of a wing. Shake is a college pg. T. Mann is a top 100 player, a great athlete, and the son of a D1 head coach. He is no ones backup plan.
True not a backup option for Shake, but Mann was the next in line after Mitchell. Backup plan has a negative connotation. I just wouldn't say he's a number one priority just yet. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

(2015) SF Ogugua Anunoby to IU

I think Crean sees Mann as a backup because Shake is no guarantee, but he's not necessarily off the board. The fact that Crean supposedly wants Mann to come for an official visit though makes me a little more nervous.
5. List down to five. No Indiana. Edit: Think the staff knew about this for awhile. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

Predicted PPG for next season

Until I see him play, I'm not comfortable going higher than 4 per game for Hanner. A lot of unknowns with this squad. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

If we get another five star center...

Right now Vonleh can rebound and that's about it. I think he got better more on the defensive side than compared to offense last year. I wish we would've given him the ball more, especially on the perimeter. He should've gotten a lot more shots. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

If we get another five star center...

I think the only big man Crean could realistically land work well with is a stretch four type guy or some crazy athletic center. Traditional, back to the basket guys just won't work here. Edit: Just to add on, I personally think Crean did a fine job with Noah Vonleh. In my opinion, Vonleh improved rather considerably over the season. Getting him the ball however is a different argument, and I think there was only so much Crean could do about that. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
15. It sucks, but I feel like there was only so much one could do in this situation. I don't want to make excuses because recent trend is definitely been very bad. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
16. @GoodmanESPN: Former Oregon State signee Isaiah Manderson has just been deemed a full qualifier by the NCAA. Plenty of schools involved. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

2015 Basketball Recruiting Class

I expect three in this class. I'll be surprised if anyone goes pro, but the scholarship situation will work itself out. Always does. I like Shake and really hoping for the possibility of Thon. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
