No coach is perfect. How many non-legends would you take over Crean? Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

2014 recruiting class
All_Hoosiers replied to kmayhew03's topic in Indiana Basketball Recruiting Forum
I'm honestly fine with our bigs next year: possibly Vonleh, Perea, and Fischer. I do want JaQuan Lyle, but I'm not sure if we'll get him. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app -
I do think the players need to be held more accountable. Jordy was a shell of himself and had no business being on the court. Yogi was also horrendous and shouldn't have seen the court either. Watford wasn't a great athlete by any means and couldn't keep up with his man on defense. Only one who really played well was Oladipo. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

Indiana basketball athletes going rogue.

Keep in mind talented basketball players aren't normally as attached to IU as regular fans. -
We're really gonna compare resumes?
-
Keep in mind Zeller was thought to be a late-lottery pick until right before the draft. If not for Michael Jordan, Cody doesn't sniff the top five.
-
Most talented team, right. Obviously, Mike Davis is a better coach because he made it to the Final Four. How many guys (not Coach K or someone like that) could have rebuilt this program in the same amount of time as Crean?

To me, it sounds like we just want Indiana to play teams with better name value. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

If not big programs, who else would you be satisfied to play? The finest CUSA (not Memphis) has to offer? Maybe DePaul? Everyone's heard of them. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

They need to build the confidence of the freshmen before B1G play, not get clobbered by big programs to "prepare." I'm fine with the non-conf schedule. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

I've stated many times how much I love this team and how I think they will be very dangerous come March. Talented, athletic freshmen getting a lot of minutes in a hostile B1G season? They'll be seasoned vets by tourney time, and very tough out. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

Scary good shooting come in next year. If Vonleh and Yogi stay, Indiana will be amazing next year. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app -
Julius Randle really impressed me tonight. Really the only thing about UK that impressed me. When he turned it on, Kentucky really got it going. They'll go as far as he carries them. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

Thoughts on Creans coaching strategy this year?
All_Hoosiers replied to hoosierbb15's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Wasn't that record like 2-1 or some small sample size though? Last year's team was a beyond awful match up against Syracuse. I'm not saying we'll win this year, but at least we have length and athleticism this time around. -
I think this team could be a sneaky good three-point shooting team. They won't take a lot or be nearly as good as the past two years, but they'll take smart, select shots from behind the arc. Gordon and Sheehey aren't great, but can knock some down. Yogi might be the best on the team. Hollowell is a good shooter as well.

I'd say it's clearly Syracuse. It will be interesting to see what this group of players can do against that zone.

Indiana has the talent, but do they have the coaching and leadership necessary to win?

It just seems like the players are staunch supporters of Incognito. It's all crazy. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
