Special edition B1G Tourney uniforms
All_Hoosiers replied to Hwy 1's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Tradition has done wonders for the program in my lifetime. I really don't think it's a big deal to have a special uniform every now and then. It's not like this is going to be the regular one. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app -
Special edition B1G Tourney uniforms

I really like these and hope we see them more than once. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app -
Agreed. Maybe next season, but I wouldn't even count on that.

We can talk Tom Crean until we're blue in the face (and that's exactly what we've done) but he won't be fired this season.

Noah Vonleh- Draft Express Video
All_Hoosiers replied to IU Hoosier41's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Really good video. His rebounding ability is truly a gift and should keep him in the league if he doesn't reach his full potential. As good as Noah is, there's so much room for growth and improvement and Crean and Co. have done a good job with him this year, especially on defense. He's essentially all potential right now, but the potential could be special. It'll be fun to see how good he is next year if he stays and where he ends up in his pro career. Got a snow day and I was bored, so I put together these four tournament résumés. Two are in, two are out. Which would you choose? Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

Glad Purdue is keeping him on scholarship. Terrible news, but glad they caught it. -
A first-round bye...not impossible
Guys..after watching some NCAA basketball shows today, I think our Crimson shaded glasses have us closer to being in than we really are. We aren't even remotely close to the bubble according to most people. I feel like we might be setting up for heartbreak. If we can rattle off 4 in a row, I think we will be close, but not sure about being "in". That would have us beating a really good Michigan team, then a top 4 B1G team in the 2nd round. Plus a Nebraska bubble team. Still not sure if that gets us in. Just telling what I've been seeing today. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
Unfortunately, we aren't close at all. We're not even back on the bubble. I think it'll take winning the Big Ten tournament no matter what if Hoosiers make it to the dance. Team shot itself in the foot too many times. There's still hope though and I have a feeling the next week and a half is going to be really fun. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app -
Indiana (Team B, but everyone knew that) has the best record vs RPI top 50 of those teams, but the worst against RPI top 150. The team shot itself in the foot, yet can somehow still save itself. There's a lot of work to do and we need these next two games. It can be done, but it's still a long shot. You guys are too educated for it to be a completely blind résumé, but A is Tennessee, C is Minnesota (I don't agree with them being in), and D is Nebraska. It's fun seeing Will Sheehey and Evan Gordon step up as seniors as the year winds down. It's also fun seeing this team improve. Much better than the beginning of the year. Nice win today. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
Crean showed the team a video of the second Joe Louis-Max Schmeling heavyweight title fight from 1938 to motivate his team."To play the way that we did without Noah, which we knew it was a possibility yesterday, we knew it was reality today, we had to answer the bell," Crean said. "We did." Wow, what great coaching! I wonder if he quoted from "Rudy" too. Yawwwwnnnnnn.
Yawn, but it apparently worked. Hoosiers controlled most of the game, and Tom's done a fine job lately. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

Thankfully the bubble is incredibly weak this year and we still somehow have a shot. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

Really good win for the team. Tom Crean and his players, especially Sheehey and Robinson, outdid the opponents and came away with the win. Vonleh and Yogi were essentially non-factors and the second half didn't start amazing, but the team battled throughout and played to win. Very proud of everyone tonight. Hopefully the team closes out the year strong, starting with a win over Ohio State this weekend. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
Personally, I want him to stay, but if I was advising him (which I am not)....I'd tell him to go. A lottery pick is money you cant pass up, not at 19. He has proved he is more than capable. I was afraid last year was the tip of the iceberg on the revolving door. I think I had right to be afraid. One and dones complete your team, they shouldnt BE your team.
Indiana is far from having one and dones be the team. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

Players are a problem which only adds to the coaching problem. -

I don't think we'll be really good regardless of what Vonleh decides to do. We may be good, but not amazing. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app -
Noah has a lot of work to do before he should leave. I think he knows this, and will stay one more year. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

Indiana's sheer athletic advantage allows it to take these first half leads over inferior athletes. Athleticism combined with little basketball skill only works so long (about 20 minutes apparently) and that's when Crean and his players' faults are displayed. This team is not very good. The potential is there, but, right now, it's not a very good team. And I don't know when it will be a real good team. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

Committed to URI 2/25/14. Anyone heard of this guy? I saw Jerry Meyer tweet today that he cancelled his scheduled announcement and some schools, including Indiana, just got involved. 5-10 guard. My only question is: If it's true Indiana is recruiting him, why? Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
I'm just pumped for when we switch to Nike for all sports and flip to Jordan for men's and women's basketball. Hopefully they can get it done next year. For those wondering, I've heard this from multiple people, some of which I get some good info from in the past. Believe IU has been approached and is actively tooling in to it. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
Switching to Nike would be awesome, and I'm sure some players would prefer to see that happen. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
