I have not looked that close this year as to if he is doing a better job defending down low or on the perimeter.  Are you suggesting he is a perimeter defensive player,or just below average standards for defending down low?

I loved his pass fakes before handing off to Troy on the give and go that led to Troy with a reverse dunk on the right side of the goal.  Had someone with the defensive ability to deny Troy of that opportunity, both Yogi & JB were in position to shoot the three with no defenders.   I like your article and review of the game.  You do a great job of highlighting the coaching perspectives of the game.  Rebounding was mentioned and one of the most pleasant surprises from OG & Juwan to me is 1) how well they put a body or arm into the opponent they are battling for the rebound. 2) their awareness of player movement and where players are when they can't personally get the board.     Max B showed this on a play I remember in the second half where he could not get the board but quickly took 3/4 steps toward the free throw line to defend a player before the ball was rebounded on the right side about 10 ft out.  During the last couple of years we've had players that waited until the rebound and pass was made to the opening at the free throw line.  This isn't really a surprise to see this from Max B for the following two reasons:  1) He is a Grad transfer with good experience.  2) With a neck that moves a head like he moved his during the player intros at Hoosier Hysteria, he should have good recognition.

Bailey,  I think you are an awesome poster and I believe you really know your hoops.  In my opinion,  I think the statement you’ve made here regarding CTC lacking in ownership and responsibility is an example of frustrated fans simply not seeing the growth that is taken place in coach over the last year.   Take a look at this video and I believe you will note that he takes responsibility for the players off-court issues  and says something like “it’s on me” 2 or 3 times within the first 3.5 minutes.   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uu94MpwNfs8   Hang in there man.  I understand some of your frustration.  Imo he is laying the foundation to take this program where it belongs.

Great post CC.  I arrived back home early this morning after attending a Newsboys concert last night and this video was the first thing I viewed before watching the ball game.  This CTC guy... what a great giver and lover of people.  It was awesome to see Brian be a part of that presser.  btw, The ballgame wasn't bad either.  Congrats guys.
