Can you scratch my belly?

Good point 41. Considering the staff has Hanner in a boot for precautionary reasons, it may be that they choose to place time constraints on his work week.

Coach Crean spoke of several guys this year that are making that kind of commitment on the ESPNU show last Friday night. Many people have spoke about the importance of Hanner & Jeremy making that fr-so jump so I was happy to hear that Jeremy has been working at that level & surprised not to hear Hanner's name mentioned. Questions: 1) Does anyone know if Hanner's name could have slipped coaches mind for that moment or is it that Hanner is making good strides yet is not considered to be investing the highest level of preparation? 2) Does anyone recall some of the names mentioned in addition to Yogi, Will, Noah and Jeremy? I believe he may have mentioned Troy and Devin, but I'm not for sure on those. Thanks

focus on improving. Here is a nice article that includes quotes from Kenny Johnson and Will Sheehey. This article is a good summarization of the work Noah is putting in. Full Story "I just want to be great,” he said. “I just want to keep getting better and take my game to new levels.” That’s why the 6-foot-10 forward put on more than 20 pounds when he got to Bloomington and now, at 240 pounds, is challenging point guard Kevin “Yogi” Ferrell in sprints." “He’s like what you’d want a basketball player to look like if you were to create a player on your NBA game or whatever video game,” Sheehey said. “His motor is different. The kid plays hard. He’s patient. He doesn’t care about shots, touches, scoring, you know, and that’s what you want. A lot of guys that are as highly recruited as him would come in and think the complete opposite, and so it’s nice that he plays that hard.” It will be an absolute pleasure to see Noah play great ball this season.

I agree with you in that there was not as much depth in last year's team that brought forth the results that were expected by players, staff, and fans. I also know that you stay tuned in & pay much more attention to what goes down on a daily basis than I do. There has to be a fine line as to how hard these guys push each other and I trust the staff to know that line. I'm not saying you agree or disagree how hard the players go at it in practice. I want these freshman to see & participate in putting each other through such a fiercely competitive atmosphere for so much of the season that each player truly embraces all aspects of what it takes to make deep runs in both of the year ending tournaments.

I agree with you. I hope by December we have made serious strides toward consistently having strong opposition during our team practices. I would love to have video of their current practices. They are probably working each other over at a high level already:)

Stack some plates for this lad. \=========================================================================== Troy Williams @troywilliams_ 15 Oct Do you have any specific goals for this season? — Don't trip running out of the tunnel http://ask.fm/a/9lf97fig -
Agreed. On 10-16-11, would a prediction of a run to the Sweet 16 been considered a touch bold as well? btw- My apologies for not following the Best Case/Worst Case Scenario. My bad.

Yesterday I was thinking about the following comparison: 11-12 JHU VJ VO CW CZ WS (DE MR TP RA DM AE KB MC....) 13-14 YF EG WS JHO NV (LF/HP) (TW-SR-DD-PJ-AE-CH) I have no inside info & I never place a ceiling on what any member of a team can contribute from any given role. Thoughts: 1) Relatively a low expectation from fan base compared to last year; yet similar to 2011-12. 2) The athleticism of our bench is very exciting to see develop. It will help provide more defensive stops in the final tournament compared to previous years. 3) When looking at the first 5-6 players individually I feel where the 2013-14 guys come up short the make up for it in other areas. This includes the VO -WS comparison. In many ways its unfair to compare any player to Vic; however, looking at Will's leadership & what the kind of influence he has on all freshman and sophomores is tremendous. He can say what he wants to the media about "not being the guy" & "everyone is treated equal", but if he sees a lull in any aspect of what is to be accomplished in a practice... they are not all "equal" compared to how Will will voice his opinions about required changes & additional effort. 4) The last of Will's quote on media day fires me up as much as anything that has been said or written about this years team: " ...but we have guys on our team who can fill those voids. I truely think so. I'm not saying we have two lottery picks on our team, but I think there are a lot of guys who are willing to do things that maybe some of the guys on our team last year weren't willing to do." Video of Will's interview 5) Regular season results will not be as good as last 2 years. The run at the dance will be better.

(2016) PF T.J. Leaf to UCLA
maxwell replied to ccgeneral's topic in Indiana Basketball Recruiting Forum
TJ will be visiting on November 15 when we play Samford. When asked about what he is looking forward to most he had the following to say: “I guess to see how they actually play and what the coaches let them do out there,” Leaf said. “Do the coaches have handcuffs on them or do the coaches let them play? Just overall, how they coach them and how the players react to their coaching I think is what I’m looking forward to the most.” Sounds like TJ is being influenced in a very positive way as a young teenager. I love to see the appreciation and anticipation of Indiana basketball from this family. “He’s probably just as excited as me about it,” Leaf said. “He grew up there always watching the games and wishing he could wear one of those uniforms. He’s edging me to go there, not really, but thats where he sees that I would fit the best right now. We’ll see.” Link -
Here yet an older video displaying a nice outside shot and good footwork without the ball:
