DeBoer was on the Dan Patrick Show today. TBH, didn't say a whole lot -- but here it is if interested. Dan didn't seem to realize that DeBoer and Penix were together at IU. Shoulda done his homework. LOL.

I think this whole talk of finding our next coach is incredibly premature. We have our next coach: Tom Allen! We're gonna win these final four games, then upset Miami-Ohio in the Quick Lane Bowl to finish 7-6. When Jim Harbaugh and Lincoln Riley leave for the NFL, our AD will panic -- thinking our coach will be poached. He'll restructure CTA's contract -- adding three years and upping his buyout to $30 million! #LEO

Knew this was coming -- just didn't know when. RIP to an Indiana legend. I actually covered the team for a season at the Daily Student a long, long time ago. He yelled at me the first time I asked a question. I think that was just his way of "intimidating" me and keeping me on my toes. Later, during the NCAA tournament -- there was a room full of dozens of reporters for media sessions. You had to raise your hand and wait for a person with a mike to come to you. I was sitting up front in the middle after one of the games, so it wasn't easy to get to me. I kept raising my hand, but to no avail. Finally, Bob saw me, recognized me as someone who'd been with the team all season, and said -- "Hey, let's get to this guy down here. He's had his hand up for quite a while." Thanks, Coach -- for that and creating so many IU basketball memories over the years.

This is interesting. Iowa fans have been bitching for quite a while about Li'l Ferentz running the offense. Notice that the news was delivered by the interim AD. Wonder if Dad couldn't bring himself to make the move -- or tell the lad he was fired?
