That whole thread today was weird. He just randomly throws out a Danny Hurley quote and says something to the effect of "offense wins championships" and started a big debate, and then replied to like 15 different comments, further fueling the discussion. Just thought it was really funny. His phones must be dead silent today. -

And if it is the case that Dolson & Co have been doing what they can to keep things bottled up, it makes sense that he'd feed "intel" of this nature to someone like Sam Story. None of this proves anything and I'm fully willing to accept it if Brad is not the guy. Just saying there's no definitive reason to assume SS has better info than anyone else. -

If you love California Cab, I strongly recommend the following if you want to branch out: Ribera del Duero (Spain) Toro (Spain) Priorat (Spain) Southern Rhone (France) Chateauneuf-du-Pape (France) Gigondas (France) Amarone (Italy) -

Oof, boxed wine is tricky. Unless you've got a wine shop nearby that carries specialty boxed wines, I don't really have any recommendations on that front. I have a few tips though! 1) try out some alternate format or smaller format options, such as cans or half bottles. 2) screwcap closures do not signify cheapness or lower quality; if anything, they just reduce the likelihood of cork taint ruining your wine. and as a bonus they help preserve wines longer after they're opened. 3) always, ALWAYS re-close the bottle after every pour. oxygen is the enemy of wine. the less oxygen transmission, the better. keep the cork or screwcap on the bottle at all times unless you are pouring. 4) the gimmicky vacuum things actually do work, one of the few wine accessories that do anything of value. they will preserve a bottle for a day or two longer 5) white wine lasts longer than red wine (red wine contains tannins that can rapidly deteriorate with oxygen exposure), and in particular Chardonnay and Riesling last the longest after opening. Chardonnay in particular is highly resilient to oxygen. in my experience it often tastes better the day after opening, in fact. if you're a dry wine drinker and don't want sweet Riesling, always check the alcohol content -- anything above 12% is going to be dry, anything between 10-12% is medium dry, and anything below 10% is pretty sweet (7% and below is basically dessert wine). Edit to add: last but not least, use leftover wine for cooking! it's very easy to find delicious recipes for sauces, braises, pastas, etc, that incorporate wine. Even if it doesn't taste very good anymore, that doesn't mean it can't be used in a sauce. Just don't use anything that's been open super long (like a week or so) or the sauce likely won't taste real great. -

Agree 100% with all of this. Their behavior on X is genuinely so awkward and cringe, and any time someone is remotely critical Eric blocks them. It's an awful look for the university for these guys to have any access to the program whatsoever. I'll never forget Eric suggesting in an X post that Trey Galloway marry his (extremely underage) daughter. Just weirdo behavior and a complete lack of decorum for someone who was hosting events in Assembly Hall with players. -

I agree it is a strong allegation. Probably should have included some qualifiers, such as "in my opinion it's a slush fund" or "they could be skimming from it" rather than present those opinions as fact. Nonetheless the way their collective is structured leaves the door wide open for shady behavior. And we just have to take their words for it that everything's kosher. -

On this note, what are we all drinking during the game tonight? I've got a nice Il Poggione Rosso di Montalcino lined up. I'm a sommelier so feel free to ask for recommendations any time lol -

Trilly and Rabby effectively have the same sources, the main difference being that Rabby has his name tied to his reporting so he has to be more careful with what he can share. Trilly still keep things close to his chest if requested, but otherwise can be more laissez-faire with his treatment of info. He's definitely a better source at this juncture. I just don't like discord as a format for message board usage. It's just a cheap way for Trilly to get out of paying to get a website built and domain fees. -

I've assumed this to be the case for a while. No doubt their podcast in which they told all sorts of "behind closed doors" stories about Woody last off-season was the final nail in the coffin. Whether or not Woodson's behavior was out of line, that just isn't the sort of dirty laundry you publicly air about your coach until AT LEAST after he's been fired. Eric allowed his personal feud with Woodson to cloud his judgment on the matter, and it has clearly affected Rabby's ability to do his job. He effectively knows nothing more about the inner goings-on of the program than Trilly or anyone else. It's sad to see what's happened. To be clear, I'm not defending Woodson in the slightest. He deserves a lot of criticism. But the crew over at Peegs was far too vocal with their criticism of him. I'm all for telling the truth and whatnot, but they burned a lot of bridges. It was only a matter of time until their sources dried up. I still have my Peegs subscription because I get Paramount+ with it and frankly it's a great deal, especially with March Madness coming up. But the downfall of Peegs is truly sad. -

Yeah dude those guys are weird. Loved their interview with Crean, 100% because of Crean. They get some good guests. But that's pretty much the only positive about them. Can't stand their antics, and Eric gets way too weird on the boards. I don't know why Rabby wants them affiliated with Peegs. They should never have been given the access to the program that they were, and I hope that with the next head coach they are kept at arm's length. For everyone's sake. -

Both are highly risky candidates for a program like Indiana in its current situation to have considered for the job. And I'm not convinced that we ever did. -

I don't think Porter Moser was brought up as a candidate this cycle, people were simply comparing his 2021 résumé to 2025 McCollum -

I think every high-caliber head coaching candidate is a "pipe dream" at this point simply because there is no information leaking whatsoever, all we know right now is that there are highly confident and excited vibes amongst donors. Other than that, it's anyone's guess. I do not think that Indiana is even remotely considering guys like McCollum or Cronin if this is the vibe. I believe we are getting one of Brad Stevens, Scott Drew, TJ Otz, or someone else with an impeccable résumé. In other words, I think we're going to get a "pipe dream" caliber coach. We just don't know who yet, and with so little info, everyone at this point seems like a long shot. -

I wouldn't worry too much about this. Nate Oats is already somewhere with pretty substantial financial commitment to basketball. Every football school is now effectively by extension a basketball school too. People forget that football is about 80-90% of funding these days. Basketball definitely takes a back seat to football on the national stage; the national audience generally only pays attention to college basketball when the tourney rolls around. In this era, football drives the bus of athletic finances, and that's why it was so important for Indiana under Whitten and Dolson's leadership to finally "get it" and make a serious investment in football. It matters now more than ever that we embrace football at Indiana, whether we like it or not. Bottom line: Alabama will be good at basketball for the foreseeable future, and Nate Oats likely won't be going anywhere. Thanks to football, they have the money to stave off any blue blood that comes calling. -

I was 8 when we made our 2002 run. My dad, an alum, took as all out to Chili’s at like 11pm the night we beat Duke to celebrate. Little kid me and my siblings had so much fun that night. Unfortunately I am the only one of us three that remains an IU fan to this day. -

As a proud member of HooAnon and a Brad Stevens truther I am having a blast on this board the last few weeks. So glad I left Peegs, that place is all doom and gloom and the info has been nothing short of underwhelming at best.
