They need to add to the notebook of another wrong hire due to performance.

For the record I'd take Brownell over Cronin. Cronin I feel is so bad of a fit and to pay 10mil to get him would be one of the worst business decisions Dolson clould make beyond keeping Woodson another year. Cheap buyout? Sure. 10mil? Nope.
-
It's annoying when you're having an argument/discussion and someone portrays their opinion as fact. "He choked is fiancé unconscious". False. "Kentucky and Louisville passed on beard after back ground checks" -unsubstantiated.
-
That one specifically isn't but the whole general crossing people of the list because of mistakes they've made is. People wanting a squeaky clean successful home run coach are going to waiting a while. Highly successful people make mistakes and aren't perfect, maybe more so than your average person, maybe more so because they're in the public eye, it's just tiring to hear.
-
That wasn't for you it was for others. A $10mil buyout now and one in 4 years to fire him is a rookie mistake.
-
Oh I know there isn't but it at least quiets some of the lies spewed on here.
-
Lol you don't pay that buyout for Cronin. I'd be extremely disappointed if that's the route they take.
-
Where's the report on that?
-
The sanctimonious people are what's killed this program and continues to bury it.
-
Kentucky after the Drew thing genuinely wanted Pope. Why do people assume they passed on Beard?
-
These are the type of people that see a headline and form an unbreakable opinion on something they've done zero research on and have no experience in real life to understand that things aren't always as they're portrayed.
-
Hey Chris beard hasn't done that either let's put him on the list.
-
And you might be right but like I said, if that's his mentality he doesn't need to be here.
-
Did you question why IU didn't hire him when he was 47-41 his first 3 years at FAU and that he might actually be upset about not getting the IU job then? And you think with that mentality he's worried about failing here? Seems like two different peoples brains Dusty May has. I don't want a split personality coach.
-
Not to sound salty but if that's his thoughts he probably doesn't belong here. That's essentially a losers mentality.
-
If you plan is to be there 10-20 years, why chose Michigan over Indiana if you're dusty May? Why let one year dictate your next 20? The only reason I see him not taking it is not wanting the fishbowl or the possibility of damaging his and his family's current lives in Indiana.

And that's part of why he was fired. It's been posted on several podcasts, I remember readying it during a peegs chat back in the day when the wheels had fallen off.
-
Feel free to correct it.
-
He was fired because he was inconsistent, weird af, and he ran the program weird af. He was so difficult to play for Devin Davis tried to get run over by a car to get out of there.
-
Sorry maybe I'm thinking of the Stevens fiasco in 21.
-
Does anybody have any of the Billy Donovan talk posts? This sounds eerie similar.
-
Am I late to the Bill Self to IU talk?
-
My thoughts are he's "only" paid 3.6milish/year ranking 12th in the conference which caused a low buyout. Higher the salary the more they believe the more they want to hold on to.

You're putting a lot of assumptions out there. Sounds a little sexist to me.
