It was not Scott's doing that came back to bite us. It was Buckner. I'm not sure who Scott would have hired but i can tell you he did not want Woodson.
-
Buckner said if brad is a no its Woodson, so yes but not by Scott's doing.
-
Maybe, but the lack of back channeling other coaches means Scott is relatively confident in the guy he's zeroed in on.
-
Sure does. Its not a done deal but looking good.
-
Appreciate it!!
-
FWIW at this point I would be more shocked if Brad isn’t the next coach than I would be if he is. Still a lot of ways to go but looking good. IU basketball is back!
-
He listened to GP711 on BTB obviously
-
Hey, I could be wrong! I'm all ears for any information and if i end up being wrong I will own it!
-
It was closer than one might think but you are correct he choose not to come to IU
-
Regardless of who the coach is next year I don't see Braylon attending any school other than UConn, and if he were too it would be due to developing's at UConn and not due to other school if that makes sense.
-
So someone stating they have no interest 4 years ago means they can't have interest now? Crazy world we live in. Either way respect for sharing!
-
If this was the case the announcement would have been made after Illinois. Down by what 30 at half? Booing Indiana native kids like Galloway and even Leal a few times? Chanting to fire the head coach. If the brand reputation was the driving force (not saying it wasn't a factor) then you make the move then right after that game, imo.

There will be a ton of smoke going in different directions toward and away from every candidate that we want to be considered for head coach lol. As of last night Brad is the guy until he makes it clear he’s not and as of last night, from my position he has not. Now obviously with everything in life that could change
-
Scott doesn’t announce Woodson retirement when he did without being confident that he has his guy
-
If Brad, before the ncaa tournament. If it’s not, probably after because in theory our next coach is in the tournament.
-
I would flip those around but nonetheless respect all opinions and love the sharing!!!!
-
If I am wrong I will be the first to own up to it, and this is not a guarantee, but my official prediction is Brad. I’m not just guessing, we shall see!
-
I’m the guy at the end of the bench who’s there to keep the team gpa up lol. Have some friends who are in certain positions, I share what I hear and confirm what I can. As I said previously if my friends left those positions my intel would be useless.
-
Lots of smoke screens being put out as well as flat out false info. Front my position Brad being the next coach has never been closer as of this afternoon. Let Scott work!
-
That’s not the most unrealistic thing that I’ve read on this board today lol
-
Why anyone pays for that is beyond me lol
-
Not too sure, i know he was keeping tabs on the job opening last year, obviously before Kentucky came calling but haven heard anything I've been able to verify on the drew part.
-
People do a lot of things they don't normally do when your dream job comes calling lol
-
Whole reason i came here is because Rabby doesn't give ****, he speaks in code and im too impatient to decipher it lol.

I think so. Dusty waiting to extend puts pressure on Michigan to pony up, makes them sweat and probably ends with dusty getting more money. If Scott really thought it would get to dusty, he wouldn't have announced Woodson's retirement until end of season to prevent Michigan from pushing for an extension, IMO
