It is true. Crean believed that actually helped with game preparation in that you can never plan on things going a certain way and you had to be flexible. -

I am with you. Some of these folks….I have no idea who they think IU is right now. In many ways this is an insufferable fan base. Just not tuned into any kind of reality IMO. -

There was no way they were going to fire a minority alum after 3 years, who had gone to the NCAA tournament twice, after having given Archie 4 years with no tournament. Would have setup the school for a racial discrimination lawsuit most likely. -

Correct. For all claiming you have to get this hire right, taking a chance on a purported alcoholic with domestic violence in his background is a serious roll of the dice. And one the administration just won’t take. -

From all accounts Crean was a grinder. That alone won’t guarantee success. My concern with May is that he isn’t an Alpha personality and that is what this program desperately needs IMO. The list of those who are is slim, but I think Dolson needs to land one of those types. -

That would be me! I’ve been a long time reader, but I’m not really connected to anyone and didn’t feel I had much to offer in terms of insights. But optimism that Dolson can do with the mens basketball program what he did with football. -

Do you think (if terms were agreed to) this is something that could move quickly and be announced before the end of the season? Or will this be held off until after the B1G tournament??
