We're all thinking it. That would be a very young team. Queue up the pre-recorded excuse now. -

We will get some good players and I'll root like heck for them. I want us to get good players because Woodson needs to have superior talent to be competitive. I hope that the staff surprises me, but I'm preparing myself for 2 or 3 good players and some uninspiring bench depth. I hope that we don't bring in a bunch of players in their last year. We need to start balancing our classes. -
Nice way of putting it if the rumors were true. :)

I'm probably in the minority, but I just don't see Tucker or Hickman coming to IU without a promise to start and that would mean Reneau at the 5. Reneau is a tweener. He's a great low post scorer but will have difficulty guarding the post. I think the IU staff has a tough task ahead trying to assemble a team considering our returning pieces. -

Playing small. I hope that Tucker and the guards can rebound. 5- Reneau, 4- MgBako, 3- Tucker, 2- Hickman, 1- TBD 6th man/BU 3,2,1- Galloway, BU 5- TBD, BU 4/5- TBD, BU 2/3 Leal, BU 1- Cupps, BU 2 Newton, open, open -
Fire/Retire Mike Woodson!

I could be wrong, but my guess is that it's not the recruit saying it. It would probably be those around him (former AAU coaches or high school coach, advisor) that says Connor likes IU, but he's not sure of the style of play is what he's looking for. (Okay, I'm a little late. This has already been clarified.) -

I'm assume if Hickman came, he would be our starting two guard. He's a senior. I can't see him going anywhere without being a starter. -
Hard pass. There are a lot of players for us to choose from. The young man can rehab his reputation elsewhere.

USC likes flash and pizazz. I don't see much of either in those names. My guess is that Musselman is looking for a change of scenery. -
Two years ago, we had Miller Kopp and Parker Stewart and underutilized them both.

It doesn't matter what you or I think. He's a highly rated 5-star that had been offered by the G-league Ignite. He wouldn't go to any college without being offered a lot of money and starting role. -

Tucker is ranked 13th, 17th, and 19th by the three recruiting services. He was going to skip college and go to the G league. Tucker is not coming to IU to come off the bench. -

My guess is that we could see Reneau at the 5, Mgbako 4, Tucker 3, portal sg, portal pg, portal backup rim protecting center. In this instance, the rim protecting center would come off the bench early when we play larger centers. -

Tucker is starting somewhere. My guess is that he'll start at the shooting guard. That means we need a great point guard and a rim protecting starting center. -
Mike Woodson was retained, so I would say- no. :)
-
Purdue is one of the top three-point shooting teams in college basketball. They do play inside out, but they also run action to get shooters open without Edey being involved.
-
I would be concerned about a skeleton in the closet if Iowa won't come up with $300k for a 5th year of Perkins.
-
My guess is that one of two options will happen. We will get a good, but not great point guard or we will land a highly sought after point guard and make him one of the top three paid players in college basketball.

What role do people envision for Walker? Starting point guard? Starting shooting guard? Backup combo guard? If we assume that Galloway becomes a 6th man that plays 25 minutes a game, Walker would only get about 12 minutes per game as a backup. Do we see him wanting that role? -
Burns will be saddled with 2 fouls in the first 3 minutes.

It's party time in Bloomington. Mike and the boosters hanging out smoking cigars and drinking wine after games, win or lose. As long as the boosters are enjoying their status, winning doesn't matter.
-
Purdue can't be in the Final Four. They don't have any 5-star players. You gotta have 5-stars to be successful.
-
Not happening. We're sticking with Woodman. :)

Well, in 2019 IU beat UCONN in Madison Square Garden in an ugly defensive game (57-54). That was Archie's 3rd year at IU and Hurley's 2nd year at Connecticut. The trajectories of the programs went in the opposite direction since that game.
