The victim doesn’t have the authority to drop charges in domestic violence cases, the state does. The charges weren’t dropped because she told the prosecution too.

I think that was on the table and that’s what forced IU’s hand. Of course it’s never put on the table if IU doesn’t self-report in the first place. Just amateur hour at its finest.

Oh no you got me good Scott!!!

If you’re going to hire a guy who is an habitual offender, you better be ready to go down with the ship. Ineptitude at its finest.

Ding, winner! Can’t believe that actually had to be explained to somebody.

One program has a bunch of Tik-Tok all-stars and fragile egos who run and cower at the first sign of adversity while the other is a top 5 metric team who does nothing but beat the snot out of their opponents. I’ll let you connect the dots as to which program isn’t affected by social media

The NCAA was only involved because we acted like cowards and self-reported. Cant lie to the NCAA if they aren’t asking questions in the first place.

You don’t need to worry about what I’m doing. That work for you?

Feel free to be brave like the others and ignore me.

Their record and play on the court certainly isn’t indicative of such thing.

There’s not going to be a competent hire until there’s a complete overhaul at administrative top. Fred Glass and by his extension Dolson, have been in charge of IU athletics going on 15 years. Neither had a clue as to what they were doing prior to being hired. Go hire an AD from another school, past experience should be a pre-requisite for a job of this degree. How do you run a P5 athletic department if you’ve never had experience running one before?
-
Mike Woodson was born on 3rd base with a generational talent he inherited and has since ran the team into the ground. IU has yet to hire a competent coach and has an extremely tougher time cutting the cord. Inept administration is going to make inept hires more times than not. IU athletics needs a complete overhaul at the top.

Because I don’t sugarcoat the truth? I forgot this was the Sunshine and Rainbows forum of IU basketball.

So brave

Yep. Done. Place is a joke.

Taking over a downtrodden Auburn program pre-NIL is a lot different than taking over at Indiana. Context.

lol. Calling an opinion asinine is a personal attack? Good lord.

Nobody is going to call for his head if he doesn’t win the national championship in year 1. Don’t be obtuse. But Bruce Pearl is absolutely the type of coach who can come in right away and immediately change the culture. No more soft players. No more low IQ basketball players. The portal allows you to do this overnight.

I haven’t followed his entire season, are we sure this just isn’t a one off case of a guy going ballistic? Players naturally tend to progress throughout their career, he didn’t want any part of it here. See ya!
-
He wouldn’t need “time” to succeed here.

I’m an adult, I don’t have social media. If you’re a D1 athlete who can’t take heat on social media….stay out of the kitchen. But thanks for putting words in my mouth.

The way he openly talked about the Indiana program both before and after they kicked our @$$ leads me to believe he may consider it. I haven’t seen another coach talk about Indiana like that in a long time.

The SEC has been better than the B10 for quite sometime and Bruce Pearl has won the SEC 5 different times and on pace to win it again this year. He’s lead two different SEC programs to #1 rankings. Pearl is consistently considered one of the best coaches in the country. These types of comments that you make are why opposing fan bases don’t take IU seriously anymore; the world doesn’t revolve around IU basketball like it used to. Bruce Pearl is a better coach than anyone IU has hired (sans Sampson) since Knight retired by a country mile.

What is your point? That fans were too “tough” on him on social media? Big effing deal. Then get off social media. That’s part of the culture that has plagued IU for two decades; recruiting mentally fragile kids and pampering them throughout the process. Auburn has 1 consensus top 50 recruit on their roster. Same can be said for Houston. Their coaching staffs don’t care about recruiting stars, they care about finding the strongest players both mentally and physically. Those programs celebrate their wins on the court while we celebrate recruiting wins. You think Auburn and Houston players give a damn what fans say about them on social media?

Nobody forced Tamar to leave. That was done on his own accord.
