Being in the B12, there is a big chance they could get left out of whatever happens with the B10 and SEC in the future. That + some behind the scenes things like lack of NIL has supposedly been irritating Drew over the past season or two. Feb 6 he said he was hearing Sean Miller and Mick Cronin were the top candidates.

By adding "things can fall apart" at the end, makes it sounds like things are already together..
-
I have wanted Drew at IU for a long time. He is my 2nd favorite option next to Stevens and he is closer to Stevens IMO than a 3rd candidate is to him.
-
The rumor originated from Gerry Hamilton at OnTexasFootball.com. Someone on Trilly's chat has a mutual contact that is reaching out to see if they can get more info from him. Essentially what he said is that on 2/14 he heard Drew to IU is basically agreed upon and McCaseland will be going to Baylor. He followed up last Wednesday saying he is still hearing the same. "Hearing" from a coach in Texas. It is a paid site otherwise I'd post the screenshots, but you can go to the site to read them yourselves. FWIW, his previous prediction in that thread was incorrect regarding who he heard Miami was targeting..

If they had space his dad would like that. His goal is to play professionally next year.

Just reached out to another CE contact that I rarely go to…nothing new from the trip, but reaffirmed the one reason I said that if he doesn’t commit it’s due to depth at guard.. -

My only reservation is playing time. Will Woody and staff lay out a path for 12-18- 20 minutes per game for him? -

Ok, very small additional details on CE. AAU coach is on the visit with him. AAU coach likes that Woody has a relationship with his players (GG did not). AAU coach wants him at IU. -

Nothing noteworthy from me on CE yet. Last week I was told that he was contacted by over 60 schools, had narrowed it down to single digits, and was making visits the rest of the month. I was asked to keep that private, but that is obviously already known by everyone this week now. Parents + AAU coach are the only ones really in the know with this and are playing things close to the chest. FWIW, I was told they think he will commit in the area so his parents can make it to more games.... that would include IU, Michigan, ND, Butler.. IU is and always has been #1, but I would imagine playing time might be something to consider and reconsider given the guards we are adding. -

Conwell was heavily recruited by Schertz prior to going south. Him transferring to ISU was more him recruiting himself back there than Schertz talking him into coming after his freshman season. -
Things have been silent on this front, but there were some medical complications here afterwards. Hopefully all ends up well. I think it will turn out ok. Will keep you guys updated to the extent that is appropriate.

I tried to get an update today but the response was pretty vague. They said that they think IU and Michigan are the two favorites, but it's all going to depend on what all of the offers are and NIL numbers as well. Not sure if IU or Michigan have reached out at this point.. Butler and ND (and Creighton) were mentioned last week just because they all like shooters and had previously expressed interest and/or offered. -
Family are big Michigan fans but IU is Conor’s dream school.

Yes, the text I received said to not believe that article. The person actually texted me due to that article coming out. He had to say that because the season is not over and Conor knows that he would get 0 minutes if it was known he was leaning towards transferring. For full transparency, here is the text I received from someone close to the kid/family. This person wants him to end up at IU. https://imgur.com/a/rAEAAnS -

Was told that Essegian transferring is at 80% and he prefers to come closer to home, but IU likely won't have interest in him. Butler or ND were mentioned. -

Hey ya'll, I've been abroad the past 10 days or so, just got back yesterday. Wanted to follow up on my previous bit about Trey, where he was planning on opening up his playing options at the end of the year. Suffice to say I was taken back by his announcement to return. Yesterday, I saw the person who gave me this info. Again, I will say that this person is legit and I know them well - zero reason to make up BS and has very close ties. They said that they were also shocked by the announcement, it was completely opposite of what he had been saying to his small circle most of the season. We both believe that at some point in the past week he was offered a substantial (like 2x) NIL package to stay at IU. As we know, IU's NIL for next year was substantially increased over the past 2 weeks. My person should get more official word from the family on what exactly went down and I will pass that along when I get it.

He would stay with the right replacement. He doesn't want to leave.
