Point is the bbal program is in no position anymore to be taking a risk on an unproven first year d1 coach. Sure it's possible he works out but he could also flame out in a major way. Archie couldn't handle the pressure. Sounds like ever may didn't want it. There are so many more things to this job then just getting it cause you won at division two.
