Honestly I haven’t gotten to watch a single aau game this summer which is unfortunate ...we should check with someone who has to see how that has gone ....I actually think people will find he’s a hard working defender ....Hoover played a zone a lot of the year and often left Luke to rover for steals which he gambled on a lot and, as is often the case , missed some that lead to baskets ....playing man to man he typically is up to the task or at least I don’t see him get abused by other guards ...not sure I’ve ever seen him get outscored by his man ....that being said I also don’t think his current size and athleticism level lends to Archie’s vision of a rangy long team

I do think that’s the biggest issue ....he doubts he will develop physically enough to fit that mold

Purdue is playing it smarter than us in my opinion for sure which is one of my least favorite things to say

The detraction started with him not even being d1 quality then the next argument was when he got bsu and Iona it was only two offers and one was not committable....now he has 8 and it’s yeah but no power 5 ....it’s the next to fall off the list ....what can I say im a sucker for an underdog

That’s kinda below the belt isn’t it ? What offers did Leal have at this time between his sophomore and junior year ? He’s pretty widely considered a solid prospect now .....most non four and five star kids start with the mac the horizon etc and get late offers from power 5’s....I wouldn’t pretend Luke will be different but I will still take a bet with anyone that he gets a power 5 scholarship offer at SOME point

Excessive ...probably cringeworthy ....only to my wife I don’t entertain the thought that I personally would have any impact on recruitment positive or negative so please don’t get that idea ....I just enjoy the arguments from both sides of the fence

It’s simply a point of interest so I enjoy the discussion small or big ....I assume the same reason you post on various topics on this site because of your interest and enthusiasm for all things iu ....I really think you’re reading more into it or making it way more complicated than it actually is ...really didn’t mean to bother you specifically

Agenda ...yes ....hopefully see Luke in IU colors derangement maybe ....but not about basketball i May have a lot of posts but I don’t have 47 pages ....I think you have to come to grips with the fact that the kid is polarizing he seems to be either loved or doubted with not much room in the middle. 40-60% of people on either side of the argument. That’s the reason for the extensive discussion. There is no debate on Kaufman and Lander they are good solid recruits ...this one merits debate and I’ve seen good points offered from both sides.

Really good point about not having to share with Lander but he is still sharing with hopf j.r. And kaufman ....it will be interesting to see what they do next year for IE 2021 platinum for sure ....I think Clemson and Purdue have been what I would call active with him but I agree he has no offers and I’ll repeat ...if I was a coach I wouldn’t offer him till next summer and you won’t find anyone that likes him more than me

Weird ? That’s a far cry from the guy who welcomed me to the bored. I’m a little more disappointed at your detraction than others because at your 30k reactions it’s clear you follow a lot of recruiting and, further , at your age ( compliment to experience not a knock ) it’s also likely that you’ve fandomed through eras where the type of player Luke is turned out to be successful and crowd favorites more frequently. In the spring you mentioned you were interested in seeing how his summer went and while the team didn’t provide any stat work ( which is baffling for that level ) his body of work was largely successful both in team stats and Individual performance. Didn’t mean to suggest you were ever north on him but you definitely weren’t south or were at least being objective. And yes those are the only two boards you’ll find me on ( unless there is a Blackford or Jerry hoover board on these iu sites I’m unaware of ). Sorry if I offended you in either forum. What is your other screen name on there ?
