(2018) SG Romeo Langford - INDIANA HOOSIERS
Whojainjawja replied to ccgeneral's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Tim has been in the spotlight for most of RL's recruitment. He seems to be calling the shots on visits, announcement dates, schools etc. He even runs things after NA games as far as autographs etc. Perhaps RL wants some space from pops. Let's hope not, but the last visit to IU seems more about the parents and CAM than RL. -

RL stated that a visit to VU isn't set at this time, and it is up to Drew. Does anyone think Drew won't be all over that opportunity. -

As has been reported, RL is likely to take another visit to VU. If he were truly Vandy bound, why take another visit. Let's see who gets the final visit. Once CBS is through with the tournament you can expect a full court press for RL. He still has a visit left and chances are he will find his way to NA in short order. RL stated that the VU and Kansas commits talk regularly, as well as his communication with RP, but all of the VU and KU commits are spending a ton of face time with him over the next 2 weeks. RL also has a chance to be teammates with a few of them. That does not bode well for IU at all. CAM and co. are going to have to make a strong case to the Langfords' on their final visit. The one thing that didn't set well was RL stating that IU wanted the last visitor a face to face with his family. He didn't sound enthused about the last visit, it seamed the visit was more to appease his Mom and Dad. -
I do not follow Kansas hoops. How much of their roster is gone next year?

It looks like CTC could land in Athens soon. He received a $4 million buyout when he left. Does anyone know if that was a lump sum, or to be paid over time? If it were over time, would IU be off the hook for the balance once he is hired? Thanks.

Watch for an in home visit with CBS before RL commits. -
CAM had a ton of coaching to do this year. We were one of the worst teams in the country in TO's and defense when he arrived. No proven pg and lost our center for the season. Teaching defense is not a one season proposal. Going into off season workouts this year will be night and day over last year. If the progress and momentum that were building picks up where it left off, IU will be a tough out next season. Look at the teams going to the E8. How many superstars are on those teams? I trust the process when the right coach is in place, and I think we have a keeper.

But I thought Cal was the best in the business. Nobody can stop his patented dribble drive offense.

The stars have lined up for U.K., but better teams have been upset so far this year. I could see myself pulling for Bruce "the fist" Weber if it gets to that.

They have a ton of threads on 247. You may have to go to page 2 to see the bulk, but here's a sample. https://georgia.247sports.com/Board/19/Contents/Crean-Basketball-Promo-116319586 -
Give me the seasoned veteran any day.

UGA offered Matta $15 million for 5 years so I would think CTC offer would be in the same neighborhood. If that is the case IU only had to pony up one year, unless his ESPN pay counted toward buyout deduction.

I'm sure Bill Self wrote a chapter if not the entire book on Creaning. -

If he is passing opportunities to announce on National Stages, and instead before his HS student body, or in a larger venue in NA with the pro IU Mayor. What in thee hell is not to like, other than the continued wait? -

If RL had already committed elsewhere, do you think the the gyms would be packed as they have been. How many fans would be lined up for pics and autographs? Would you be interested in finding a live feed for the State Tournament. Thoughts? -
Just saw where the UGA team voted down an NIT bid due to the firing of CMF.
