There were few times Blackmon was unable to play well defensively, physically, away from the ball. His awareness and lack of prior coaching were the reasons for his poor performance defensively, not his knees. That's an excuse.

I could see him returning punts as well. Wouldn't be surprised to see a package for him offensively. Kids a special athlete.

How many scholarships do we have left? I know we had 4 kids transfer (Rodriguez, Mack, Walker, and Natee) 3 of those were on scholarship.. was Arod? So, where do we go from here recruiting wise? Who else could we add/who do we want?

He was honestly better as an on the ball defender than he was as an off the ball defender. Truly the worst away from the ball as I've ever seen someone, literally lost.

It appears he's more of a PG than James. He's scoring at a pretty high clip, as well. One website had him ranked top20 (not that it matters at this point).. Furst was ranked top 10.

Agree about starters.. Houston will either leadoff or bat in the 9hole though. Imo

Ok, that makes sense. Do you know much about any of the incoming FR? Krueger, Houston, and Gorski were huge for us last year.. can 1 or 2 make that impact this year?

If Kaletha is solid... our lineup should be nasty. I think we will see improved offense from Fineman this season, which will be nice depth wise.

Why don't you like Lloyd in the closer role? You can DH for any position still with him there.

I don't see our recruiting playing a part in their team success at all. The state has plenty of players to go around. This is a good SR class this year: Anderson, Romeo, Phin, Hunter, Henry, and Easley.. last year's was great, year in and year out there are plenty of players to go around.

To be fair.. we have more players than the 40 allowed on a roster right now? Right?.. the IU roster lists Grant Sloan but this article doesn't?

Saw an article from perfect game.. they thought Gorski would move to left and Kaletha would start in center and lead off with Lloyd full time starting at 2nd. So, who starts at first? Bradley? Cross? A FR? Also.. who comes in at second for Lloyd when he closes? Cole Barr? Balgaard? Kaletha Gorski Lloyd Miller Rowers Bradley DH Fineman Cross 1B Houston To start the season out looks fairly reasonable unless one of the FR win the job at 1B or DH. Aaron do you have an opinion here?
