Just love the "Creaning" comments. Last year at this time, people want Stan off the team because of off the court issues. Crean keeps him, people call for Crean's head. Stan gets in trouble again. Crean keeps him, and people call for Crean's head. People want Crean fired his year because the team isn't good enough. Now, for the sake of argument, let's say Crean ran him off to free up scholarships to bring in better players to improve the team. People are calling for Crean's head. Just awesome.

Nope. Never has been. Take Troy and Vic. Prob a push on athletics. Troy is taller. Who is the better defender? Why?

Defense is not about ability. Like reboundng, it's about want too. Plain and simple. And you can't make players care if hey don't want to. They aren't getting benched. Laps, whatever. They Are there for pt. And like I said Priller and April ain't playing.

Fischer, no. Vonleh, arguable. Could you imagine this team with those 2? Two rim protectors? (Not to mention that if this was the "golden age" like so many here live in, Cody would probably still be here. People mostly stayed 4 years) This team would be top 10 easy. Noah was very good, and Fischer after 4 years would be pushing all B1G. But they left. Crean was stuck trying to coach a team he wasn't prepared to coach. Sure, we thought that Noah was gone, but not Luke.

You said he didn't care. Hard to twist that. I se a guy hollering and screaming. Constantly coaching. I see him get in a defensive stance. I find it hard to believe he doesn't care about teaching defense. I mean come on.

Keep him. IU has had 4 coaches, counting DD, in he last 15 years. Can't build a consistent winner if you can't consistently lose coaches.

And you seriously believe that he would leave the Celtics, the NBA and all that money because IU fans really want him to and his dad played football there. Delusional.

I'm not saying keep of fire him but understand if he goes, it's 2008 all over again. JBJ, RJ, Yogi and Troy are gone. What, you honestly think they are playing for the name on the front of the jersey? Recruits that we have contacts with won't come. Oh yeah, and one more thing, No one has ever given me a good reason why a guy would leave the BOSTON CELTICS, one of the premier franchises in all of American professional sports, to coach a 7th place team in the B1G who's fan base just ran off the coach that won them their first regular season title in 20 years less than 2 years ago. Just saying, watch what you wish for.

Bingo! I remember those cold winter Indiana nights where we couldn't play outside. My uncle taught me away around that. My brother and I would take an old shoe box, cut a hole in the bottom and hang it upside down on the wall and shoot tennis balls. We'd play all night on that thing. I can still hear myself says "Alford from 3!"

I'm going to throw it out there. I am going to get hammered for it but I'm going to say it anyway. There are a lot of people that still aren't satisfied with Tom Crean and his team. If you don't watch it you are going to miss one of the most fun teams Indiana has had in years. In 20 years we could look back on this team as one of our favorites. They play hard. They score. What else could you ask for. And for all those Bob Knight lovers who loved coach Knight because he got more from less, all we heard all preseason was this team can't rebound. We are out rebounding guys left and right now. This team will still lose games they should win, but will win games they shouldn't. IU went into Nebraska the number one team in the country a couple years ago and lost. IU went into Nebraska last night and won. Nebraska was preseason top 25. To me that's impressive. IU has also beaten SMU who were ranked, Pitt, and Butler who were ranked. That is impressive to me also. That is more than I would have hoped for at the beginning of the season. Some fans are sitting around waiting and hoping for Brad Stevens, and they're going to miss one of the most special teams Indiana has put on the floor in a couple years. I actually sat behind an older IU fan at the crossroads classic that told me he wished Indiana would have lost that game. All because he hates coach Crean. I told him screw that I want them to win everything. Are they going to win the national championship, no. They are going to be fun to watch, they are going to play hard, and they are going to score.

This is Marty's best by far. Finally has some size. Really only have 2 scorers which kinda worries me.
