The women’s games definitely have a better flow to them than the men’s games do. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

He’s had “interest” in several jobs. But I do think it would be a lot better for CBB as UCLA would be good again. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

Opens it up but goes well with the deeper 3 point lone as the floor opens up even more. Will help pretty much everyone. Might hurt any team who relies heavily on defense as it becomes more difficult to defend in space. But creates a much better product. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

We could have fired Crean after year 3, hired Stevens and still gotten Zeller. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app -

And guess what? People will continue watching Duke next year. And Duke will continue being a big time money maker and a must see team. Zion leaving won’t change that. People love Duke. There were bandwagon Duke fans well before Zion. I’m guessing Duke added maybe 5% to their fan base for Zion Williamson. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

It isn’t that people won’t go to a game to watch Zion, it’s the fact that if the rule didn’t exist and Zion went to the NBA out of HS, Duke fans would still be piling into Cameron Indoor to watch Duke. Just because Jeffries left, Gordon left, Zeller left, Yogi left doesn’t mean people stopped watching. Because they care about the name on the front more than who is wearing it. Sure there are bandwagon fans. Any good team will have them or any team with a superstar. But the vast majority will be loyal diehard fans no matter what players are on the court. Indiana witnessed that when we won 28 games in 3 years. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

It hasn’t benefited CBB in the slightest. It’s actually hurt it. CBB teams will make money because they have die hard fans. Who the players are don’t matter. Whether it is Anthony Davis or Tim Priller. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

Indiana makes a profit of what 20 million maybe in basketball? That isn’t that much. It is tops in CBB, but think about how many NBA players make 20+ million a year by themselves. Those guys generate a ton of money. CBB is very different. How many schools actually end up with a profit at the end of the year? Also, the One and Done rule was created by the NBA. The NCAA had nothing to do with it. People in the NBA got tired of getting burned on some HS players, made excuses and wanted a year of college to be able to evaluate them better. The NIT isn’t BS. And I’ve never said it was. I don’t think Indiana belongs in it though because I believe we should never miss the NCAA tourney(which is realistic). Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

It ends up making itself up. A single player gets free schooling, housing, gear from Nike/Adidas/Jordan/UA etc, flights, marketing, branding, training.... am I missing anything? Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

For me looking seeds 11 and down. Best upsets to really look at. East: Belmont over Maryland if Belmont beats Temple. West: St. John’s over Buffalo if they beat Zona St. Murray State over Marquette. South: Saint Mary’s over Villanova Oregon over Wisconsin UC Irvine over Kansas State Gardner Webb over Virginia(lol just kidding) Midwest: New Mexico State over Auburn Now if you’re look at the absolute best bets for seeds 11 and lower to win(not that they actually will or even comes close... 11- St. John’s 12- Murray State 13- UC Irvine 14- Old Dominion 15- Montana or Colgate 16- Prairie View or Gardner Webb My personal favorites are New Mexico State and UC Irvine. Two schools that have been very good recently. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

Top 5? Kentucky 2011, Kentucky 2016, Michigan 2x 2013, Temple 2013, Michigan State 2012, Michigan State 2x 2013, NC State 2011, Ohio State 2012, UNC 2012. Just in those two years there were a lot of fun games. But after that.... it scaled back a lot... Ohio State 2014, Maryland 2015, Kansas 2016, UNC 2016, Michigan St 2x 2019. From the 11-12 through the 12-13 there were more memorable games than there have been from 13-14 season to the 18-19. Which was the biggest? UK 2011? Tourney wise I’d definitely say it was UK 2016. The other two years we beat Temple and VCU. So beating Kentucky was quite a bit bigger. Especially a very talented UK team like that with Ulis and Murray. OG getting those two huge blocks on Murray was great. Bryant and Yogi started shredding them towards the end. Skal Labissiere was about as overrated as could be. That would definitely be a big hire. He did a lot for Iowa State. Nebraska gives us fits with Tim Miles as coach. So Hoiberg I’m sure wouldn’t be any different. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

Memorable year. We were great with Zeller and Oladipo. But I remember that Kentucky team with Goodwin, Noel, Poythress and Cayley-Stein. Along with the Duke team of Plumlee, Curry, Kelly and Cook. The Michigan State and Michigan teams. Georgetown winning the Big East regular season and then getting whooped by FGCU and starting Lob City. Jamaal Franklin for San Diego St throwing it off the backboard to himself was awesome. SDSU also got whooped by FGCU that year in the 2nd round. Kevin Wares injury was that season in the tourney. Losing to Arky again in the 2nd round? That won’t matter much. Same if we lost to Providence. We are on the same level as them. Losing to Saint Francis though? We should beat them by 15. Would be pretty embarrassing to lose. Just like when Kentucky lost to Robert Morris in 12-13 after Noel went down. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app -

I just said no one cares about the football program. Because it is terrible and a joke it even exist still. But if it were even just decent, like winning 6-7 games a year. It’d be a lot different. But we aren’t even close to that. Basketball is considered a joke because fans want to act as if we’re still an elite program winning when we really haven’t been very good for 20+ years. Basketball is considered a has been at best to other fan bases. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
