  1. Alright, I did some digging. I compared the amount of IU players that Darius is following on instagram vs the amount of VU players he is following. It was an even amount, both at 2 players. A big difference however, Darius is following Indiana Men's Basketball's Instagram account, and he is not following the Vanderbilt Athletics account. This is really only significant to anyone who buys into the social media aspect of recruiting, and coming from a college student, social media is prominent around me and I am sure it's no different for Darius. However, Darius did not like the video posted today by the IUMBB instagram.
  2. Wasn't trying to be negative, just missed some posts so I was wondering.
  3. Evan Daniels was one of the first to report it.
  4. You are right, I meant the latter. Thank you.
  5. Does anyone legitimately have any sources or is it just fans saying they believe it's IU because they are IU fan. Feels like the former is more likely than the first...

  7. I feel like it's important we stay cautious with the whole insider knowledge because as the Winston Garland has said, the only people who know of his commitment is family. So while AAU coaches may have a good idea, it's hard to say they know for sure. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  8. Rabjohns said on Kent Sterling that Winston Garland had said to him personally that they were looking into announcements on ESPN or utilizing Facebook live feature and streaming it from Scout.com headquarters near Nashville. Encouraging that he isn't announcing at Brentwood where a heavy Vanderbilt presence would be felt?

  10. The biggest thing is that if you play 4 years in Bloomington, you'll always have a job. Scott May is working in Bloomington to this day. Companies will jump to hire IUBB alumnus. You can't retire on an overseas salary. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  11. China is actually legit, there's talent there. I don't think he can succeed in China right now is all I'm saying, I think with a good year next he could maybe even get drafted. Hell, why not. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  12. Rob is realistically not going anywhere, not particularly athletic or explosive, only shown flashes of good defense and inconsistent shooter. Teams won't take that risk, he's probably only going so he knows what the scouts want instead of just plain guessing on it. At this point, he's not even good enough to play in China I don't think. We'll see what happens, that's just what I think. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  13. It's not good for college BBall? The game has changed, the rule isn't made for fans, it's made for players. You can't argue that prior coaches tell them what to work on, because college basketball and the NBA are different beasts completely. The rule was made so kids can continue to make a living instead of risking it all and ultimately failing. The NBA scouts don't only tell them what to work on, they also tell the players whether they'd benefit in going to school for another year or not. As for Bryant, I think he would benefit financially if he came back, because even if he did not improve next year, he'd still likely be drafted higher than this year because the big man depth in next years draft is shaping up to be a lot weaker than this years. This year is stacked with big guys. Blackmon should go however, his defensive inability did not come from a lack of effort, it came from a lack of skill on that end, he lack lateral quickness, but he is however an offensive power and NBA teams will pay for that, even if he isn't drafted, he'll have an opportunity to impress in summer camps and workouts. 14. Rob hasn't officially said he's returning. Everyone puts validity into the fact that these guys are practicing with the team, but in reality, they can practice with them for as long as they're enrolled in school there or until they decide on signing an agent and leaving. 15. In all honesty, at this point the person I'm most anxious to find out about is Rob, he could be the anchor next year and him returning would be huge, while him opting to transfer would be a crushing blow. He's all around a great player, showed flashes of what he could be under the group of coaches. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  16. Was the video bigs only, or at least guys who will fulfill the bigs positions. That might be why you saw literally no guards. Also Al Durham liked the video. Not that it means anything, just an observation. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  17. If Kostas were to transfer would he be required to sit out a year even though he already sat the 2016-2017 season out? Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  18. I don't know if anyone has mentioned Justin Smith all that much, but the kids legit. Insane athlete, kid can jump out of his shoes. When I watched him play, he dislocated the rim and they had to stop the game for a few minutes. He could be an awesome multiple year player, especially under Archie.
