Lemonis was a "no brainer" hire IMO. Give him time. I think he'll get things going. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app -

With all of Archie's talk of reaching out to Indiana high school coaches and developing those relationships, might it be that he wants someone with familiarity of the IU program, a name everyone knows within the state to help with leading the charge? Possibly reaching here but ... -
I believe Archie mentioned in one of his interviews that he did reach out to Crean (not sure if it was by text or a phone call) after being hired but at that time had not heard back from him. Anyone else catch that?

That's fair then. Just hate when kids go another direction then all of a sudden "he's terrible" or whatever. Can we say the future is bright for the program now or ... ?!?!? -

Jumping from FIRE CREAN to BRING BACK BOBBY!! Interesting
-
I get that many are done with Crean and want him fired, but to look at that picture and somehow find something to bash Crean is a major stretch IMO. Actually pretty petty if you ask me.

I like Dakich for the most part. I try to listen to him as often as I can. I do so with the understanding that he does things for his ratings too so I do expect the unexpected. You have to sift through some of the garbage at times but hey, it's entertainment playing in the background at my desk at work.

I do believe expectations at IU are high compared to most other schools, and they should be. As Crean said when he was hired "THIS IS INDIANA!" (and all the rest) so when a coach signs his name on the contract to coach at IT, he (or she?) should know the passionate fan base will have very high expectations and expect to win consistently and advance deeply in the tournament every year. Are they unrealistic expectations? Depends on who you talk to but I am not a believer of dropping standard of the program just because of parity in college basketball. I don't remember arguing that Crean was any ranking so not sure where that came from. Must be mistaking me for another poster.
