I'm just talking about coaching. Coach K been the coach in last 3 Olympics.

Maybe it's this.. but a quick look at who's been winning gold medals in the Olympics shows says otherwise..

I guess I really just don't understand as someone who loves the college game way more than the NBA.. To me, coaches have a bigger impact in college and NBA is more about star power.

Have to imagine seeing Justin Smith and Damezi Anderson (not that he's playing much) in the Sweet 16 is a big factor in some of these guys wanting to jump ship.

Yeah most definitely, but IU would be guaranteeing him not getting a job if he got fired at the end of the NBA season. Something could still open up this year that Archie would take.

Well Archie still has a buyout.. and releasing him earlier gives him more of a chance to get a job and lets IU off the hook for the money.

Just think of the GIF potential guys...

I'll give him a shot if he's the pick. He's been in the NBA for a long time. He probably knows his strengths and weaknesses at this point, and could bring along guys to help him in areas like recruiting. IU transitions to a more NBA style offense which could be seen as a positive and I'm sure Woodson has connections for days.

My biggest problem with the packline is if the team is hot from 3 you can get absolutely torn apart. Obviously works well for Bennett, but man can some games get ugly.

Yep both Mack and Beard are big personality guys. I think they're even better than Stevens in that department... need someone who can be more than a coach and the face of a program.

Does Moser have the personality for IU? I have thought that Beard suits IU really well in that department and think we need more than a ‘coach’ this time around, but someone like Tom Allen who ascends that role. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
