I have to politfully disagree. I think that Mike Brey is very forgettable for a reason.

If I may, I have one word to describe Mike Brey, meh. He's done just fine at Notre Dame, however, he's not a coach to take a team to the promised land. He's always just seemed to me to be very, meh.

Exactly. When he first came aboard my best friend was a Senior there and he and his buddies were at Mother Bear's and Tom Crean showed up and without warning came right up to my friends table and introduced himself and talked to them for around 5-10 minutes. Great guy. Great ambassador. Mediocre coach.

I feel for Tom Crean. I really do. When i was playing in high school i can remember a petition going around that basically was asking the school to let go of our coach even though he'd been the coach for 20+ years and had multiple conference championships and even coached an IU target and future US Olympian Lloy Ball. My parents thankfully refused to sign any of that BS. We were a small school with very very very low expectations. In 1997 when my future school played Luke Recker in the Northeast Regional at the Fort Wayne Coliseum that was the pinnacle of our schools history. In Tom Crean's case, more is expected at Indiana University. I dont hate the guy. I've had multiple friends that were or are students there that have had very positive run in's with him. I appreciate his contribution to the program. I wish him well. He's done.

Exactly. Last time I was in Fort Wayne i ran into a couple of my non IU fan friends and that was their thought as well. "No Tom Crean is great. Keep him forever. (Giggle giggle giggle)"

Thank you! Old farts are most definitely some of my favorite people. They're usually the only people outside of active duty that I can relate to because their "give a f**k" meter is broken just like all of ours. Haha

Yep I was always good about laughing later after the yelling. About a month ago I sat in on a board where one of my shipmates just got torn apart by my senior chief for basically being a jack*** and I'm so glad he was sitting behind me cause I was smiling the whole time. Classic.

I've worked with a few former RDC's and actually they work on their material. I swear. Just like comedians. Haha. The most common insult I heard was "clown" because it's not offensive but still degrading. Haha

The DS's or RDC's as they're known in the Navy are comedians. I had one call me a "Mcgenius". Still cracks me up to this day.

Oh god those EOD cats I working with are pretty salty. They've def made me up my game at PT and being an *******. Haha
