(2018) SG Romeo Langford - INDIANA HOOSIERS
Travis Scott replied to ccgeneral's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Anyone else think Romeo may not be a 1 and done? His interest in Vandy might be a sign he's actually looking for a place to get an education as well. Maybe go the 3 years with a degree route? That possibility makes this recruiting battle even more important IMO. -

58% from the Free Throw line... I bet I know what a good part of practice will be today! -
Can someone please make a collage video of CTC with Greenday's "Time of Your Life" playing in the background? I need closure.

Player and Recruit Retention News/Discussion & Potential Transfers

The big question is if TB leaves, can Clifton Moore fill the shoes as our next point center? I want to see crazy hedging out to the half court line, at least 5 threes a game, and 4 TO's dribbling outside the arc. -

Bryant has a TON to gain by coming back this next year and working with a new staff on the block and dominating the glass. I see potential for a big stat jump and that's just from correct utilization, not even player growth. JBJ on the other hand is a shooter. He's been a real good shooter for a real long time, but his other skills have and I feel will always be lacking to some degree no matter the time/effort he puts in. IMO, JBJ should go get paid while he can (wherever that may be) and TB could really make a difference in his first contract by staying back a year. -
How about these with a solid red or white top? Let's just get crazy.

Player and Recruit Retention News/Discussion & Potential Transfers

I just have to say that I feel Archie making a point to gel with the current players is vital to our early success with a new coach. It's our current players that will be around these recruits when they make their visits and we need our current group of guys to be all-in to what Archie's doing. Plus, I'm sure to some degree there are recruits already talking to the current roster. -

He could be replacing Jim Harbaugh as the chair guy in khakis, but that's all I see happening. -
This would be perfect for him. With talent, his offensive scheme works. If that's all he has to focus on I think he could do well at the asst. level in the NBA.

At this time, there aren't really any jobs that I think Crean will go to which could be a blessing for our current program. I feel like there are a few players that might have gone with him to a new school (current & recruits). These kids always liked Crean a great deal. Without Crean coaching them as an option, the easiest play is to stay at IU. Oh, which happens to be a top tier basketball school with a ton of excitement all around it. -
Archie MIller Press Conference

I think everyone's kind of looking at the in-state recruiting backwards. There's a good chance that kids are now willing to look at IU when they previously just simply dismissed Crean. -

You guys know Crean's still there right? Like the man from the closet in "Real Genius". If you've never seen the movie, watch now and you're welcome. -

Jadlow's tweet says "from Lenexa, KS". It's not like he is even in Bloomington.

Van Wilder style

The only flights halfway worth checking would be those leaving Bloomington as Glass is going to travel to the coach, not vice versa. Not to mention, with tech the way it is these days they can do the first round of interviews in their jammies. Glass strikes me as a Star Wars with footies type.

I have 15 guys on a text thread waiting for a "Board Report®" this morning. Time to reach out to your friend's sister's cousin-in-law's hairdresser to see what's going on today!

Joani: What are you thinking about Tom? Tom: Swimming pools.

Are we secretly the real search committee?

I believe RMK started doing this in his last few years at IU and the talent level dropped fairly drastically in the program IMO. The head coach needs to get out there.
-
I agree. I feel like if it was one of the coaches already bounced from the tourney we would have had an announcement by now.

You could field a competitive team from just Indiana kids, but they most likely wouldn't mesh together or with the coach's system. The key is grabbing the 1-2 kids each couple of years from the state that fit your team both personality and playing wise.
