Super pumped to go to my first Bucket Game. It'll be cold, but 100% worth it. We are going to be in lot CC. We booked a room in Lebanon. Planning to get to the lot about 3-4 hours before the game.

Hey everyone, My wife and I are going to the IU-Purdue game on Black Friday. It's been a long time since I've been at Purdue. I had a few questions for those who may know: 1) Best place to park? I see there are lots of options (or at least it seems that way) around Ross-Ade. 2) How early do you recommend getting there? We usually get to Bloomington 3.5-4 hours before kickoff and have no issues. Just not sure what to expect up there. 3) I am sure there are, but are there any big IU tailgate/meet-ups? Unfortunately with our schedule this year I wasn't able to make it to Memorial Stadium. However, I have to see this team play.

Update on the game: Looks like we are going to be in lot CC. Near some recreational fields. It's 8 days out but right now showing the feel like at kickoff is going to be 20.

Love the responses! I expect a lot of red and for it to get ugly fast. Probably going to get there around 4:00 and just prepay for a lot near Ross-Ade. Again, only been there once but it seems like a dump. Mackey Arena is kind of cool. I think it's incredibly random it's the NBC primetime game on Black Friday, especially since this decision was made in the offseason. Kind of nice the Bucket game hasn't been the noon BTN game for a few years. OT: Don't forget their coach was running his mouth about Cig this off-season. I hope it's worse than 66-0.

Get on these guys early and make them quit. I can't see Penn State scoring 20 points on us. If the offense can get us that, which I expect, it SHOULD be a W much like in Iowa. Important to remember that 7 of Penn State's 14 points against OSU came because of a short field. I'd compare Penn State football this year to say, our 2016-2017 IU basketball season. Came in hyped, started off okay, and it got ugly real fast. Think how Assembly Hall was that year in February. Probably not as intimidating. Same with what I expect out of Beaver Stadium on Saturday. It'll be loud I'm sure in the beginning. I just can't imagine their fan base is all that excited for this game.

It just doesn't work out for IU. 2012-2013 #1 all season long and lost in the Sweet 16. Crean's last year they were ranked pretty high in the preseason and didn't even make the tournament. Same with our team last year. I like our additions but bottom line: they haven't done squat to earn a top 25 ranking and be patted on the back all off-season. Competition should be fun! I think the top 4 is likely DeVries, Wilkerson, Bailey and Conerway. Spots 4-10 will be a fight!! It's year one so my expectations are low: Safely make the tournament. Be freaking competitive again. (see Louisville last year although they were in a bad conference). Anything else is the cherry on top.

Just from what I've watched..I would not be surprised if Reed Bailey turns out to be our best overall player. Doesn't mean he will lead Indiana in scoring and what not. I just think he's going to have a major impact. Almost think the 4 you listed will be our best 4 players.

Kind of surprised there isn't a legit "big" but outside of that I really can't complain. Competition is going to be a lot of fun for this group. Just a fun guess on April 29 at the starting 5 based on rankings/stats/watching the player: Conerway Wilkerson Dorn DeVries Bailey Bench in order: Miles, Harris, Enright, Drake, Alexis, Sisley If Goode comes back, he probably moves to 6th man. Side note: Anyone else happy the media isn't ranking this team? I've seem them nowhere in those top 25s and Lundari had us as a bubble team in his first bracketology.

Most likely true. It's just crazy busy these coaches are. I assume summer time is really these only chance. Even then, they have to recruit and help with summer workouts.

Coach needs a little bit of rest and to get lunch with Don Fisher lol. In all seriousness that dude has been working non stop since he was hired. Still pieces left (roster spots/coaches) but I can't imagine he's seen his family that much. Take a day or two off DD.

As long as he is cool with a role off the bench and fits, I'm all for him coming back. If I remember right he still should have been in high school this year.

That and he averaged 14 a game at Memphis on a tournament team. Doubt he would get anywhere close to that here.

Ridiculous...Nobody should be playing in college over the age of 24. I'm sure not many 25/26 year olds left, but them sticking around hurts incoming freshmen.

Kind of neat IU will have options on a few different lineups. Assume one with Bailey at the 4 and a traditional 5. Another with Bailey at the 5, Tucker at the 4, etc.

Always nice to wake up to a commit, even if expected. I'm no scout, but from what I watched he is able to get to the rim and finish. Streaky shooter. Like most of our guys so far is able to shoot long range threes. Comes from a team that was just in the NCAA tournament. Heck, you can say he was their best player. Million dollar question is will these guys all fit together and we won't know that for a while. Side note: I made a comment on Twitter about Conerway and some UK fan had to comment and trash him. Funny for them to call us a quad 4 game and then talk about us on Rupp Rafters. But enough with them. I'm guessing another guard/wing type player (Goode?) along with a few 5's is next in store. After that who knows. Always fun to see the roster take shape. Just shows you in the future not to panic early. We didn't know IU was going after some of these guys a week or so ago.

Jasai has great size and length for a guard. Two years left. Improved as a shooter from Fr. to So. year. One thing I noticed about Jasai and pretty much all of our guys: they are capable of making deep threes. Teams are going to have to guard us well beyond the 3 point line.

Someone on 247 put a prediction in for Jasai Miles. I see an IU logo next to his name right now. Honestly couldn't tell you much about him.

As I like to say, who ranks the rankers. The MOP of the Final 4 this year was also ranked too low. Ended up being a first team All-American. I am excited to watch a little bit of film on Conerway.

Yeah and basically said if it's between IU and UK it should be an "easy decision". Acted like they would know yesterday at the end of the show he would be coming to UK. To be fair, Matt Jones wasn't there. I'm not sure he would have approved the way they were talking. Matt does a good job with NFL coverage on ESPN radio.

I'll say this: I know we all give Rabby a hard time. However, after seeing how the KSR guys acted with Wilkerson, we should be really thankful he isn't like that. There is a video on X going around showing how arrogant they are. It's gold, go listen to it if you have a chance. Last night Rabby basically was saying Conerway was going to IU without actually saying it. I kind of appreciate that. Let the kid still have his moment, but let your subscribers know it looks good. Nothing extra.

I'd be kind of surprised if IU doesn't have another commitment or two by the end of this week. Only so many minutes for next year are left. The Troy PG sounds like the next potential domino to fall.

Agree. Coach HAS to win this year and I get going after seniors. But I hope by year 3 IU has a solid core returning. I said earlier I haven't watched Freeman play but if NBA scouts are interested in him as a D2 Freshman, he's only coming here to start. I assume he can play at the same time as Tucker and Reed.

Realistically probably 2-3 more major contributors left. As far as minutes go, I'd bet Wilkerson, DeVries, Bailey, and Enright are 4 of your top 7-8 in minutes played. IF Goode returns that's probably 5. I assume PG and rim protecting Center are left. Maybe a player like Freeman is in this mix. I like the plan so far in building this roster. I do think he wants to have a lineup with DeVries at the 4 and Bailey at the 5 for most of the time.

I'll be honest I have yet to watch his film. But it's really impressive for NBA scouts to be interested in a D2 freshman. With the Elite 8 being in Evansville, I think Lincoln Memorial has been there a few times. Very good program.
