IUBB vs Northwestern - 12/1 @ 1:00 ET

A win is a win especially in this league this year. Gotta rebound for Penn State Tuesday. Point Guard play has been awful. -

Pardon is one of the B1G players I want on IU. He is a stud. -

That was the key to this season. My smart money was on Justin Smith... has been awful. Idc who it is Romeo and Juwan cannot carry this team night in and night out. -

Justin Smith shouldn’t be playing at all. Simple as that. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners -
(2019) PF Trayce Jackson-Davis to INDIANA
HoosierFan1994 replied to Uspshoosier's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
The talking heads were right! He did commit today! Was really surprised to get on Twitter and see that. Big time get for Indiana. I think Trayce is a two year player who has loads of potential. He will start from day 1. I hope IU can land Keion Brooks. If so, well done by Archie. -
So some concerns I’m having...
HoosierFan1994 replied to Brass Cannon's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
I'd do Rob, Al, Romeo, McBob, and Morgan. Fitz and Devonte off the bench first. I remember reading a book about Steve Alford. He said Knight sat him and a few players because of effort. Might need to happen with Justin Smith. That was pathetic yesterday. -

Very accurate on most Brass. Can't have 20 turnovers and expect to win. If that number was, say maybe 10 ,I think we would have had a game. I think the repeat offenders need to sit. Anything over two is excessive. Rob is a freshman but Justin Smith knows and can play better. He looks like Nathan Peterman out there. I agree with the effort it hasn't been there. Need Juwan to be a senior and step up. Can't get two fouls early. Hurt us last night and at Arkansas. Archie has to send a message. Justin Smith cannot start against Northwestern. I don't know if it's time to have Devonte run the 1 but IU can't have Rob turning the ball over four times. I think he just had a bad game. I do think it is early to tell about player development. I didn't expect a big jump from Juwan. Al looks a little better than last year. Time will tell. These next four games are going to be very telling for our season. IU can win each of those games. -

Yes, not a lot of teams will match up with Duke. Gonzaga showed us they can. UNCheat, Virginia, Kansas. At least we played Duke better than pUKe. -

and hopefully there is less next year!!! I don't get why someone would waste their Saturday going to an IU football game. The administration has showed that they don't care about football so why should the fans? -

I respectfully disagree. There are difference makers on this roster. They played like absolute garbage last night. Romeo and Juwan are capable of more. Justin Smith has to play better. -

Sort of like Yogi? This would be awesome. Heck, he could start for this team this year. I hope the news is true. I'd like for Archie to get Keion and TJD so he can focus on the loaded 2021 class. Thank god for no more Tim Priller's, Jeremiah April's, and Grant Gelon's!!! -

Unfortunatly the university administration doesn't care about athletics or glASS would be gone. They're like the Dallas Cowboys. It doesn't matter who they have they will always mess up because of Jerry Jones. As long as the seats fill at Memorial Stadium and Assembly Hall why do they care if they win or lose? glASS should have been fired for the Crean extenstion (what a joke that was...ONE good season in four years) and now the Tom Allen hire. I'm not concerned with basketball just yet. If this team misses the dance this year, that will change my mind. However, I like Archie and I think he is the right guy. Just didn't have it tonight. -

Tonight is probably the most frustrated I've been with him in his 18 months here (which is good considering Crean p*ssed me off all the time during his first season). Can't lay an egg like that on National TV against a contender. This team should be embarassed for that. No fight in the first half. Have to get better fast. No room for error these next four games. -

He is a heck of a player and is a program changer but I don't see the one and done potential. I'm not a prep school fan and prefer high school basketball but if you want to be a "one and done" prep school is the best route for that. I think Oden, Conley, Gordon, and Lyles are the only IHSAA one and dones. Zeller, Gary Harris, Swanigan, and others needed a few years of college. That may be the case with Romeo. I think he will be a top ten prospect but will have an interesting decision to make. Romeo probably only played a few future NBA players last year. He would have played them every night at a prep school. But let's not get crazy folks, he is a program changer. -

Would have been nice if he hit some that mattered. Lol in all seriousness the sky isn't falling. A p*ss poor effort is frustrating for sure. I love Archie but he didn't have this team ready. Part of that is on injuries and part of it is the fact that Duke is legit. College basketball has three of the best teams I've seen in a long long time (Duke, Kansas, Gonzaga) I think Tennessee and Nevada are loaded. It is very top heavy this year. That being said...this team has a long way to go. I'm not losing sleep because I knew this would be a loss. This team and program just isn't there yet. They need a good week of preparation and practice. Two B1G games and two power non-conference games coming up. I think all four are must wins to get the season going back in the right direction. -
(2019) SF Keion Brooks Jr. to Kentucky

I laugh that ESPN has him as the 33rd ranked senior. He should be top 15/20. -
I feel the same way. Should IU have played better, even with all the injuries,-YES. However, this was UC Davis and UT Arlington's "Super Bowl". I feel Louisville and Butler are must wins with this team. Can't afford to lose those two games against Power conference schools.

ALLEN thinking of turning over defensive coordinator duties to someone else.
HoosierFan1994 replied to iubb's topic in Indiana Hoosiers Football
Spot-on. Maryland and Rutgers are the only B1G football programs I'd put below us. At least Illinois has a coach that has had some type of postseason experience in football. What is sad is I think the talent is there. -

That's my thing. The worst major college football program got a National Championship winning coach. Football is very important too and it's clearly not to our administration. -

Yes, Lynch was actually worse than Tom Allen. Kevin Wilson brought in some talent but still wasn't the answer. Brohm was there for IU in 2016. He would have been perfect here. Has had less talent than IU and still is going to a bowl game. -

A recruiting class that ESPN and 247 has as 10th best in the Big Ten.... I'm not a fan of CTA at all. I don't think he did anything to deserve this job. Next year is a BIG year for him. If IU has another 5-7 season or worse he should be gone. Kevin Wilson wasn't the answer either but he brought in some talent towards the end of his IU tenure. -

I agree with you. I don't think IU will ever contend for a B1G championship in football. However, I feel a coach like Fitzgerald or Ferentz could have won 8-9 games with this team. -
Yet IU gets crap for Romeo's "development". Makes sense.

WOW...maybe one more football program that is more of a mess than ours. Heck, their whole athletic department.
