(2021) PF Trey Kaufman to Purdue

I think so too. It's a lot like the TJD and Leal recruitment to me. Strong IU lean but they will take their time. -

Basically teasing "really cool coverage" that they have coming this week. I like Peegs. They have some good stuff. If you don't mind paying $$ it's not bad. -
Bracketology and Team Resumes
HoosierFan1994 replied to Uspshoosier's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
I still feel if they beat Nebraska that they are in. Not that it's a big win or anything, I just don't see many teams passing them. A loss should worry everyone though. -

If IU beats Nebraska and then Penn State I think they get a 9 seed. Bracket Matrix has Arizona State, Oklahoma, Rutgers, and USC ahead of IU. Each of those teams have tough matchups and could lose their first conference tournament game. If IU beats Nebraska but loses to to Penn State they stay a 10 seed. If they lose to Nebraska it will be close. I say 11 seed play in game. -
Let's go ETSU. I think St. Mary's and BYU both get in regardless.

Al Durham should not be playing 27 minutes a game like he has the last two years. He's more in the 15-20 range. However, I guess Archie didn't have a choice. I'll take Phinisee and Lander over him. Maybe Leal or Franklin will pass Al. Nothing against him-he seems like a good guy, but he is playing way too much.

Men's Big Ten Tourney Thread: Predictions and Discussion
HoosierFan1994 replied to IUc2016's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Outside of the NFL/College postseason (Thanksgiving to Super Bowl) this is my favorite sports time of the year. I love that games are on all day. It's much better when IU is playing that's for sure. -
Not a bad rule. I do wish that more players stuck around. That's why I like the Big Ten. It's fun watching guys like Cassius Winston or Juwan Morgan grow over 4 years. I would say if you aren't a lottery pick your freshman year, you should stay. If you are a sophomore and aren't at least a 1st round pick you should stay. I just feel players can really grow their junior/senior year. I don't mind what Troy and JBJ did at IU, but they left an opportunity on the table. If they had stayed who knows what could've happened.
-
Right. Everyone killed James but he is the kind of player this team lacks right now. Troy probably should have stayed for his senior year. I know he played in the NBA some but he didn't pan out. It worked out for Thomas though. He's getting big minutes right now. I think it kind of depends on the kid. I think Troy was just done with college. He had his degree and he wanted to make money. Same with James I don't blame them. However, they were not on any draft boards. If he would have stayed you never know the type of year he could have had. Victor wasn't on any draft boards after his sophomore year. One year later he was the number 2-should have been number 1-pick in the draft. I just think these kids have a major opportunity to stay all four years if they aren't on any draft boards.
-
For IU I'd say James Blackmon Jr and Troy Williams. Maybe Bracey Wright. I'll never blame a kid for going pro if they are going to get drafted-especially if early.
-
Seymour Regional could be fun. Championship could be Bloomington South vs. Evansville Reitz. I went two years ago. Crazy that I saw Langford, TJD, and Leal all play. Very possible that is three straight Mr. Basketballs.
-
Yeah I feel like he will too. I felt that way about Swanigan from Purdue. How much better can he get? Garza gets 24 10 and 2 blocks. Can't do much better at the college level.
-
Right now I am loving Wisconsin and Virginia. I think both could go very far in the tournament.

Penn State has lost 5/6. Couldn't have been better for IU. I would be very happy with two wins. -

My picks Wednesday #12 Minnesota over #13 Northwestern #11 Indiana over #14 Nebraska Thursday #9 Michigan over #8 Rutgers #5 Iowa over #12 Minnesota #7 Ohio State over #10 Purdue #11 Indiana over #6 Penn State Friday #1 Wisconsin over #9 Michigan #5 Iowa over #4 Illinois #2 Michigan State over #7 Ohio State #3 Maryland over #11 Indiana Saturday #1 Wisconsin over #5 Iowa #2 Michigan State over #3 Maryland Sunday #2 Michigan State over #1 Wisconsin -
Really? Wow, would have thought he'd be at least a second round pick. Iowa will be tough next year.
-
True about Jerome. I still really like him.
-
Yup. I hope this year is the new "down year" for IU. IU is only losing two guys for next year. No excuse they can't finish around the top 5 of the Big Ten. I think Lander is coming (80% sure) and I also think Leal will really help. Geronimo and Galloway may not play as much right away. Think Armaan type of role for them. Trayce has the potential to be the Big Ten POY. I think Rob will have a great Junior/Senior year at IU. Hopefully Justin and Al are more consistent.

Men's Big Ten Tourney Thread: Predictions and Discussion

If I lived closer to Indy I would.. I went in 2016 on Friday. It was Michigan-IU (you know, the game where Indiana missed their free throws and Michigan came back and won at the buzzer). It was pretty cool. We left at halftime of the second game. Was pretty ticked from the IU game. -
If Aaron Henry ended up at IU, this program would be in much better shape. I think he is the kind of guy this team is missing. He is already appearing in mock drafts too. If he sticks around another year, he's going to be the guy at Michigan State. A sleeper pick for Big Ten POY in 2021.
-
I said this a few weeks ago, but 2013 was the year...IU, Michigan, Ohio State, Michigan State, and Wisconsin were all loaded. I had IU winning it all that year, Ohio State in the final four, with Michigan and Wisconsin in the Elite 8. As far as this year, I really like the way Michigan State and Wisconsin are playing. I don't trust Turgeon but Maryland is talented. Ohio State is playing really well especially without DJ. Illinois, Penn State, and Iowa are all intriguing. Michigan is my wild card team. If Beilein was still the coach I would trust them a lot more than I would with Howard. As for our Hoosiers, I would be stunned if they aren't in the tournament. With that being said, I would be even more shocked if they win a game in the tournament. I still think they are a few guys/a year away from being a big dog in the Big Ten.

I have a feeling a Big Ten team is winning the tournament this year. So many teams that are capable.

Wisconsin at IU Game Thread 03/07 12 PM ESPN

Yes. Khristian Lander alone isn't going to cut it. I like the other freshman but they aren't ready to be major contributers. This offseason has to be like the 2011 one (I've said that the last two years thought.) The addition of Zeller to that team helped but Hulls, Jones, Watford, Oladipo, and Sheehey got so much better.
