    TOM CREAN FIRED

I've lived in Kentucky for 11 years. I've become fluent in all of the redneckisms. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  2. Understandable, but being Indiana, you should always have the attention of Mr. Basketball in state. Wether you land him or not at least be a program that makes your ears perk up when they call you. That is a failure on Crean's part. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  3. I am good friends with Vic. He told me that he talked to BD and said that he would toss him the first copy of his first studio album if he came to Bloomington. Donovan has already signed the contract. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

Players and talent aren't in question. His poor coaching ability isn't in question anymore. It's a fact and this year solidified that. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

    TOM CREAN FIRED

Everyone said the same thing after the 2012 season "we have everyone back, time for the final 4". We had way more talent on the 2013 team than we have next year and still couldn't get past a Syracuse 2-3 zone. I'm sick of waiting for next year. I'm a Cubs fan and waited 32 years for next year. IU basketball is not a "next year" program. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  6. Bulleit, Kyrie, Gary Harris, Theo Pinson, and I can't believe no one has mentioned that BIG beast of a player up in West Lafayette. Could you imagine a TB and Swanigan combination? A true big man and one that can (but shouldn't) step out and hit from deep? Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  7. I really hope I have to eat a feast full of crow and size 10 Nikes Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  8. So by not following a legend, you're saying that those programs are not going to get the pick of the litter? That's insane. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  9. None of those schools are going to see any sanctions. They are the $ for the NCAA Louisville should be a concern. They are going to make another deep run and BD would have an immediate "in" because of Pitino Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  10. Better long term? Someone who doesn't have the clout like Billy. Archie, Gregg Marshall, Mark Few, Kenny Johnson if we could steal him back from UofL. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  11. I'm not saying I wouldn't love him to take over. I think BD would be a great fit, but I think we could have a better long term option out there. Not trying to be a Debbie Downer or Negative Nancy...I'm just being a realist. Kids being recruited have never seen IU go past the Sweet 16. They've seen UK, Duke, UNC, UofL win titles. By "struggle" I mean we would probably miss March again next year. With or without Billy. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  12. That's true, but let's call a duck a duck. From what we have leaving (potentially) and what we have coming in, it's nothing to write home about. We would struggle for at least 2 years until he was able to get on the recruiting trails and play catch up with all of the big dogs. High school kids being recruited aren't waiting for a better coach at IU. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  13. Billy would be a great catch, but what happens when Pitino, K, Williams, Calipari, retire? As much as it pains me to say, those programs are already in a much better place than ours. No rebuilding necessary, recruits in the pipeline, "blue blood" programs, name recognition. One would think he would either jump ship for one of those schools or hold out in the NBA until one comes open. As much as the BD ride would be great, it would be short lived and we'd be back to square one. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
