Glass mentioned looking at candidates in the NBA before he mentioned coached currently in the tournament. Did I hear that right? Hmmmm

I have a toddler so I already spent most of this year trying to sneak in radio broadcasts and the occasional TV broadcast. Made it to one game (Nebraska, ugh). If he's back, I won't bother. I can give my daughter the attention she deserves. She certainly doesn't need to see me screaming at college kids on my TV.

Serious question, if Crean is back next year what do you think Glass/Trustees will be looking for that tells them they made the right decision? NCAA tournament appearance? Sweet 16? Top 3 in the Big Ten Conference? I think my fear (and everyone's) is we're back in the same spot next March, just a year older. I'm not sure how anyone looks at the current situation and thinks we'll be a serious contender next year.

No argument from me. Just trying to figure out what other people are thinking. I tired of being told I'm a delusional fan who doesn't appreciate Crean.

From a purely outside view, it's tough to fire a coach one year removed from Big Ten coach of the year and a Big Ten Title. However, if you actually watch the games you know there are all kinds of fundamental problems, even in the good years. I certainly hope Fred Glass has been watching the games and not listening the ESPN/SI/Sporting News summary of Crean's accomplishments. We'll see.

Does anyone think Matt Painter would be a good replacement for Crean? No? I assume everyone is laughing now. Well, Matt Painter has two sweet 16s, two big ten titles and has missed the tournament three times in his time at Purdue. Congratulations everyone, we're Purdue. Actually, they have a chance to add to that record this year to we're already behind.
