(2018) DE Madison Norris to IU
TXHoosierDaddy replied to ccgeneral's topic in Indiana Football Recruiting Forum
Still some work left to do in this class with 15 commits. Think we have a good chance with Norris, Charlton (teammate of commit James Head), Allen Love (Ole Miss commit), Cassius Peat, and Cam Jones since Butch Jones's seat is very warm. Would be a heck of a close to the class if we could get at least 4 of these guys. -

Not concerned at all. Right off the bat, there are a good 10-15 programs that already stand out as guilty in some capacity from the initial reports that would be before us. And there are another 10-15 that you just know are doing something illegal that would come before us. -

Speaking of good ole Roy they landed Nassir Little today. He was the top recruit that likely would have committed to AZ without the allegations out there about offering $$$ for his services. Was heavily considering Miami as well so this kid was obviously involved with a lot of this activity. With the door open, UNC spoops in and picks him. Little mentioned UNC was the school he wanted to go to all along. Highly doubt that. -

Can't find the press conference but here is someone who covered it and reported the injuries on Twitter. Don't see anything about the OL, Harris but I know I heard him mentioned and it was positive regarding the injury. https://www.crimsonquarry.com/2017/10/2/16401584/peyton-ramsey-officially-named-starting-quarterback -

Allen sounded very optimistic on both guys during the press conference. Said Harris was probable and Knight was pointing towards that as well. If they don't suit up it's likely due to not risking it with the opponent at stake. Ball and Riggins seem to have the more serious injuries at this point since he immediately ruled them out and gave no indication if they are close to returning. -

This is pretty much any P5 fanbase that cares about college athletics. My family is from Univ of Missouri and the message boards are a cesspool of negativity. I think in our circumstances, people just assume it's gonna be the same. Can win some of the easier games but can't sustain success for 4 quarters against the big dogs. I think things would change if we could get a program changing win. We just haven't been able to do that in for what seems like forever. -

Ramsey named starting QB this week. Huge turning point I would say in the direction things are headed when your senior QB is second now on depth chart. Also, Riggins and Ball likely out this week. Hopefully, back during Michigan. Everyone else expects to play. -

I'm not saying kick Lagow to the curb but at this point I don't think Lagow brings anything to the table that is really going to help this team score more points. They have different strengths but I am not sure that even helps at this point. I think they just need to stick with one guy. How many times has the QB rotation really worked for a team? I don't think Ramsey is anywhere near a good passer but at least he has the build. Diamont was paper thin and couldn't play 11-12 games. Lets go with Ramsey and see what happens. -

So lost Riggins and Ball and now J'Shun Harris and Ellison. Jeez this team is banged up. Wish we had another bye week. -

It's more than one game man. It basically was all of last year. He was irrelevant against UVA so there really wasn't much to say. -

Where did I say anything was his fault? I just assumed you would come on here and proclaim that he should have played more. Lagow has had more than his share of opportunity to seize the role. He is no better than last year and outside of having a strong arm really brings nothing to the table. What's the point of putting him out there anymore other than to chuck the ball downfield? For every nice he throw he makes, he forces something or takes a sack. Give Ramsey all the reps. He is the future. Let him live and learn. Maybe he can improve on the throwing. It has only been a handful of games. -

I would love to have Matt Canada back. If Orgeron gets fired at LSU maybe it's possible. Although I am thinking Debord gets at least 2-3 years. -

Lest's hope Riggins and Ball are healthy for Michigan. We can beat them with a full arsenol. If it wasn't for ST we would be right in this. The biggest concern for me is the offense and specifically the playcalling. -

He was very defensive when you brought up anything negative about Lagow. And at this point i would agree. What's the point of playing Lagow with his deficiencies? Live and learn with Ramsey who will be with the program for another 2.5 years and could really improve from the experience. -

I honestly think we have a chance to win any of the remaining games especially since Mich and Wisky are at home. Will we, probably not. But if healthy we are good enough. -

I really like Allen. I think he will turn it around. But that is the issue. No depth and it comes down to recruiting. We were bad at defense for so long and now have a good starting group. However, the QB position and OL line have gotten worse the last few years. -

Right my point is he is by far the most effective at the position. Keep giving him the rock. However, didn't know he was potentially hurt. -

Ellison 9 carries 53 yards. And i haven't seen him once in second half. Brookins 3 carries 4 yards and Williams 5 for 9 yards and a fumble. I would say that's puzzling. I hate the QB rotation, which I have been vocal about. But i don't get the musical chairs in general at these key positions. -

Why can't we ever have all teams clicking. Last two years defense has been rock solid and offense can't get it done. So frustrating. -

It worked a little better at TENN when they had Josh Dobbs. Here it just looks stupid especially when you have Thomas and Cobbs. Also, why the hell are we rotating like 4 RB's. -

Well I'll assume he isn't hurt since no one answered. I don't get why we are rotating like 4 backs. pretty hard to get in a rythym.
