Clemson getting screwed. The whistles by the refs in the last 3 minutes have been atrocious. Refs literally giving it to NC State.

(2019) SF Trendon Watford to LSU
TXHoosierDaddy replied to IU Hoosier41's topic in Indiana Basketball Recruiting Forum
I would also throw in Avery Johnson is starting to take some heat at Bama. If they miss the tourney this year which they likely will unless they can get a few wins in the SEC tourney his seat could be warm. -
Big games this week that IU fans should care about since these teams are all right on the bubble. Wofford vs UNCG - Tonight St. Johns vs Depaul - Wed, March 13 NC State vs Clemson - Wed March 13 (both squarely on the bubble) TCU vs Okie State - Wed March 13th Texas vs KU - Thur, March 14th Florida vs Arkansas - Thur, March 14th Bama vs Ole Miss - Thur, March 14th Creighton Vs. Xavier - Thur, March 14th Arizona St. vs UCLA/Stanford - Thur, March 14th Utah St. vs New Mexico/Wyoming - Thur, March 14th Temple vs ECU/Wich St - friday, March 15th Buffalo winning their tournament

On Belmont i disagree. Having watched them play I know they could do better if given the opportunity against Q1 teams. Are they better than IU, nope not recently. Are they better than Texas, TCU, St Johns, Florida or Clemson. I think so. They had to play a lottery pick to make the tourney and lost. That is the only mid major I would let in that didn't get the auto berth outside of Wofford/Buffalo. They all pass the eye test and I want the best 64 teams in.

Thanks it was from March 9th so might have been a tad outdated. I still don't understand why they are in over us but this week will play itself out anyways in a lot of these first round tournament matchups.

(2019) SF Keion Brooks Jr. to Kentucky

For a second I legit thought he was talking about our 4 game winning streak and got really excited....then I realized the decision date being that far away. Still I am optimistic it could mean both! Haha -
Yes but they get KU in what will basically be a home game for KU since it's in Kansas City. Can't love UT's chances with Roach possibly being rusty, having no momentum and playing basically a road game. I think they will play themselves out and Shaka's seat will get pretty hot since this is a must win.

Can anyone please explain to me how Lunardi still has Texas in and us out? Texas - 16-15 (NET: 52, SOS: 20, 6-11 v Q1, 8-14 v Q1/2, 0 bad L's and 1-4 in last 5) IU - 17-14 (NET: 50, SOS: 38, 6-9 v Q1, 8-14 v Q1/2, 0 bad L's, 5 and 4-1 in last 5) Tougher SOS for UT but one team is on the rise and one is falling fast. Plus they have an extra loss. I don't know how you say they are a better team in the field of 64

Can the Hoosiers go dancing?

I agree and really hope they get in but I doubt they will. -
Can the Hoosiers go dancing?
TXHoosierDaddy replied to IU Hoosier41's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Absolutely. Wofford is projected to get in even if they lose. Same with Buffalo at the mid-major level. -
I want both teams in but highly doubt it as you mentioned. I've seen enough of teams like St Marys, TCU, NC State, Bama, Florida, Arizona St. to know they aren't very good teams and I think we will pass most of them to get an at-large if we just take care of business.

Its a shame we can't see Windler and Morant both in the tourney. Two guys that are special and could pull off a few upsets.

Agree I think Walton is great if he is not broadcasting an IU game which never happens. These other guys try to fill time on the air with garbage storylines or if its like a Dickie V they just scream at the tv. Bill just does whatever he wants and I think it is awesome. He plays well with the sarcastic Pasch. -
Correct, misinterpreted the tweet. It is Creighton and TCU
-
Apparently new source says its TCU and Creighton

Great list...a few more Mitchell Robinson at WKU Deandre Ayton at AZ Cat Barber at NC St. Mo Bamba at Texas Andrew Wiggins, Josh Jackson, Kelly Oubre, Chieck Diallo, Josh Selby at Kansas Derrick Rose at Memphis Lonnie Walker at Miami Troy Brown at Oregon

Imagine cheating and being really bad at it = Nebraska
-
We've had this discussion before about coaches coming into a program and all of a sudden they are landing top talent left and right. LSU was on that list. I could easily venture to guess another 10-15 schools that should be on this list as well. It's just too obvious with the rampant cheating going on today.

Agree. The NCAA committee never gives automatic births to mid-major schools. Even if they are on the bubble, past history shows they award power 5 team with that has the better overall wins and SOS (ala Syracuse almost every year). The fact that Buffalo and Wofford are positioned to get automatic births is rare. Unless something drastic has changed in thinking I would say the chance Murray State gets one is less than 10% even with a lottery pick to boot.
-
Exactly. They turn the ball over so much. Recipe for disaster.
-
Crean and Georgia loses to Missouri at home 64-39. So ugly. Now 2-15 in conference play.

It only took me a few minutes. Not that hard to look up especially when you smell BS. And your reactions sure don't sound like you were confident it was Vandy for weeks. -

You did? You certainly didn't come across that way on the day he committed to Vandy. You know its easy to look back on these threads :) -
Yes, believe ArIzona St. is in last 4 in now according to Lunardi. Wins against Kansas and Miss St. really helping them out in the non-con. Not a fan of Hurley. Would love to see them knocked out early in their conference tourney.
-
And Murray State is in the same conference as I think Belmont who is also really good. One gets in. Same with Furman. Lipscomb also really good and only one will get in there. St Mary's needs Gonzaga to break a leg. They dont' look like they are even close to the same level to be able to beat them on a neutral court in the conference tourney. It would be great if Washington wins the Pac-12 tourney because no other team in that conference deserves a berth and that would take away from one team. If Buffalo or Wofford loses their conference tourney, they will like get two teams in from those conferences since both are considered to be at-large berths regardless of winning their tournaments. IU gets to the semi's of the BTT, would be feeling very good assuming they win these next two.
