Guys settle down, you are in a glass case of emotion. There are 1,000 reasons for Crean to be fired, there is 1 that he might stay. Glass is a smart guy, he isn't going to put his friendship with Crean infront of the program and his own job... Crean wanted an extension last year after winning the bigten, glass said no. R-E-L-A-X.

They aren't having an annoucement in the middle of the selection show. Relax guys, it is Sunday. Crean will be gone but they won't choose the time to announce it based on our feelings haha.
-
Haha I appreciate you trying to jinx it, but the time for a vote of confidence came and left awhile ago. Glass (more importantly IU and McRobbie) can't let a whole year of bball donars closing their check books happen.
-
Not if they release him from this LOI which they will because its a PR nightmare not too. As for everyone worrying and calling for Glass's head, just relax Crean is gone. If Glass wanted him to stay he would have already came out and gave him a vote of confidence. Especially when the Mizzou rumors were brought up. His silence says it all.
-
The game just ended like 45 minutes ago haha, he is connected but they are going to wait until Crean at least gets back in btown to figure out when to announce it.
-
There are zero people with sources saying this on ITH, it is all opinion.
-
Limping into the tournament should never be a goal for IU basketball. Crean is gone, relax everyone.
-
Unless the interview doesn't go well. Wouldn't be surprised if they ask him a question and he starts pacing back and forth across the office clapping and points at them yelling good question good question.
-
Exactly, we just fired our football coach who had a similar temperament. Glass isn't going to immediately hire another one, especially as the face of IU basketball.
-
The Wilson firing closed the door on Marshall. Glass won't let it happen.
-
I believe we are contractually obligated to accept an invite and have already signed said invite. Sadly
-
This will be Glass's first basketball head coach hire. He was around for the glory days of IU. We have also built an amazing practice facility and spent 40 million renovating Assembly Hall under him. You don't spend all that money on the program and pinch pennies on a coach. Give him a chance, if he poops the bed it will end up costing him his job.

0708 hasn't posted since the donovan stuff so I don't know what walking boot is talking about. All mile said was he prefers "miller time" making a joke about beer and sean miller
-
Haha we know you have been claiming it will happen, but this is grasping at straws.
-
He was the one that told everyone the meeting was happening. So he either really knows (and seems to have a history of being right) or its all BS.
-
Haha I wish this was the case, but we can't listen to all the insider advice of a guy who has been right so much in the past. Then as soon as he says something we don't like, start making up reasons why all of a sudden he is wrong. I don't think there was a double cross or fake info bread crumb trail sent out.

Matches up with the janitor saying we are looking out west now sadly

Yup

He has been right about a lot of other things in the past. There is a reason he is one of the most trusted posters over on 247.
-
They can match any money we are willing to offer and have had a muchhhhhh better track record lately than IU.
-
Arizona isn't going to let Miller leave. They will match any money we are willing to spend and he has a great thing going there. Don't see him wanting to come here and try and jump start things.
-
Crean is gone, there is no extension coming. Any extension would be flimsy at best and torn to shreds by every other coach recruiting the same players. Doyle is just talking to hear himself speak.
-
Crean is gone, settle down. As for our next hire, Glass is throwing 7 different kinds of smoke.
-
Exactly. Alford isn't a good X's and O's coach either. This would not be the hire to take us up to the next step at all. As for all this news, it appears that Alford is making a push for the IU job.

I know one of the low level assistant basketball coaches that worked for IU during that time. He thought Crean was going to Alabama. Mentioned Crean had talked to Saban about Alabama as they had mutual contacts from their time as Mich St.
